Tainted tuna ping!
Something’s fishy about this story.
I just finished the tuna sandwich Mrs Magnum made me. Mmmmm good. I think I could taste some dolphin in it! :)
Tainted canning procedures sounds fishy. Chinese processing plants?
I only eat raw tuna in sushi...................

Schooner Tuna! Fighting inflation!
From the article “This voluntary recall is out of an abundance of caution following the notification from our supplier that the ‘easy open’ pull tab can lid on limited products encountered a manufacturing defect that may compromise the integrity of the product seal (especially over time), causing it to leak, or worse, be contaminated with clostridium botulinum, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning,” the press release detailed.
Its not contaminated, but may become contaminated if the lid leaks.
Luckily I would not buy off brand labels of Tuna.
Just bake it with macaroni and cheese, should kill the bacteria.
I had to look for an article that identified the cans in question and found these:

If it’s recalled you shouldn’t have to throw it out. You should be able to return it for exchange or refund.
If my new car is a lemon I don’t throw it out. They have to take it back for full refund.
I had a bad experience with canned tuna after an incident when I was a kid. I got a bone stuck in my throat. I was able to get it out, but I have never been willing to eat tuna since then.
Darn - I miss Rush and his Weemsco Tuna. It was the best!
“Weemsco Tuna has the great dolphin flavor you grew up with. In fact, it’s chock full of dolphin because now there’s more for us to use. Weemsco Tuna tastes great because it’s a secret blend of tuna, dolphin, shark, medical waste, and dead sea turtles who choked on deflated helium balloons.”

“Did A&P Tuna Kill Mrs. Brown and Mrs. McCarthy?”
(If you know you know 😁)
This really bites. The Wally world I worked at got a metric s ton of this tuna and couldn’t sell it (its 9 bucks a 4 pack for the Genova yellow fin packed in oil) They ended up blowing it out for a 1.00 a 4 pack, so of course I bought 5 flats (6-4packs each) Its really good tuna. sad it could make me sick. Wonder what the refund will be, though I’d be good with replacement.
Food recall of the day alert.
I only buy Aldi solid white albacore tuna packed in water. It is highly rated and is delicious.
Did you hear about Charlie? He finally got canned.
