Recall appears to be specific to the can lids (easy-open pull-tab only). The manufacturer of the cans stated the lids may leak.

From the article “This voluntary recall is out of an abundance of caution following the notification from our supplier that the ‘easy open’ pull tab can lid on limited products encountered a manufacturing defect that may compromise the integrity of the product seal (especially over time), causing it to leak, or worse, be contaminated with clostridium botulinum, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning,” the press release detailed.

Its not contaminated, but may become contaminated if the lid leaks.

~~~
Botulinum is anaerobic. A lid leak would actually allow oxygen in, which is bad for many types of spoilage, but is the exact opposite of what would cause botulism.
Something doesn’t seem right about this.
