Girl Scout cookie season—generally a six- to eight-week period between January and April—is pretty much its own holiday. Once those tables with green tablecloths hit supermarkets nationwide, we start dreaming about towering stacks of coconut-flecked Samoas. Or are they Caramel DeLites? (Wondering why some cookies have different names? Check out 9 Things You Didn't Know About Girl Scout Cookies.) Enthusiasm for their cookies is matched only, we think, by the ferocity of fans' opinions on the best varieties.
Which is to say: We know we're playing a dangerous game by picking the best (and worst) Girl Scout cookies. But here at Delish, we do the hard and sometimes precarious work for the sake of our readers. But first, some insight into how we made our choices :
What are the best-selling Girl Scout cookies? They say numbers don't lie, and we took them into consideration while making this list. According to The Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., these are the top-selling cookies:
1)Thin Mints
2)Caramel deLites/Samoas
3)Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs
4)Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich
5)Lemonades/Lemon-Ups
We called on our team of very opinionated Delish editors. We also asked a few chefs to chime in, and of course, we looked to the internet to see what people are saying. Just a note: This is an all-time ranking and not all of these cookies are available every year. So here they are, ranked from worst to best...

I give the first two a tie.
#2 is my #1, but I can get those at General Dollar and they are way cheaper and I won’t be supporting the abortion loving scout admin
I always get the coconut ones.
"Best" is entirely a matter of taste. My personal preference is (3)Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs. You can't beat peanut butter and chocolate.
Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints! Thin Mints!
Move up the Lemonades to #4 and drop Do-Si-Dos to below or equal with trefoils
My troop sold 500+ boxes yesterday at a booth
Half were Thin Mints
When does a Cub Scout become a Boy Scout?
Trefoils are underrated, but they are no thin mint.
I stopped buying when they started supporting abortion. And everytime there’s a booth....I tell them why I’m not buying them. Some of the girls appear surprised...And I’m not delicate about telling them that abortion is killing a baby...just like you were once.
I account for the thin mints all by myself. I could probably overcome this bad habit, but I have three pushers on the block. My primary dealer lives next door. She is relentless and she’s at an age where one can’t say no when little miss sunshine shows up at the door.
Yessiree...This year's batch of thin mints has an exceptionally good cookie base too. Melt in your mouth type cookie.
Our local girl scouts are from the Marine Corps Air Station so I don't worry much about the politics.
I like the Samoas, but I can get more of essentially the same thing cheaper at Aldi.
And I don’t have to support the Girl Scout’s left wing agenda to get them.
I don’t support them, they are a hostile, political feminist/lesbian based organization now.

“Following are a few recommendations for you to consider as you prepare to participate in the LGBTQ+
Pride Month Celebration - “I Am a Girl Scout!” fun patch.
Before starting on the LGBTQ+ patch activities, familiarize yourself with words and concepts as found in
GLSEN’s Key Concepts and Terms, commonly used to describe lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer
identity. You don’t have to know everything before talking to your troop. In fact, you might even consider
admitting what you don’t know. Conversations can be wonderful opportunities to learn from each other.
For more resources to spark conversation, GLSEN has a list of book recommendations.”

when I was a Girl Scout, I used to like the gaucho (oat and peanut butter) the best. But now I don’t support girl scouts, and would not eat the concoction of unhealthy stuff the cookies are currently made of.
The local GSAs are generally good but the national and international levels are horrible.
