Putin’s troops are getting so desperate they’re using donkeys to supply ammo

Russia has got so desperate it has had to go back to one of the most old-fashioned ways to carry bullets and guns during a war.

The Soviet army had to start using donkeys and horses to carry ammunition in Ukraine – something that hasn’t been done for over a century. Military blogger Kirill Fedorov wrote on his Telegram channel that Putin and his soldiers have started to send the animals to the front line.

He said that an official government transport list says these animals include horses, camels and deer.

He wrote: ‘The fighters were given a donkey to deliver ammunition to the front line. What did you expect? Cars are in short supply these day.’

Ukrainian official Anton Gerashchenko also shared a social media video showing Russian soldiers riding donkeys.

A soldier’s candid video commentary reveals the bizarre move and said: ‘I heard it, then saw it, and was

when the americans went into space, we spent millions developing the “space pen” (I even have one somewhere)

the russians said we used pencils and they worked perfectly fine.

A Russian version of Francis the talking mule is in the works. The article is to make Russian appear backward and stupid—but in truth a lot of wisdom in using mules in rugged landscape. If Russians are so backward—how come they are winning?

It means they are out of fuel. If they had fuel, they would be using any kind of car or truck.

Soviet? Soviet? How about Austria-Hungary or the Holy Roman Empire if you are going to dig up historical empires that don't exist anymore?

Also, animal drawn transport was widely used in WW2, less than a century ago.

My father had to ride a horse under Patton in WWII when his tank couldn’t handle the mud. It was desperate!

The Russians have made a habit of using assets that cost far less than the weapons used to destroy them.

I know that "asses" are not "donkeys," but you get the idea.

Can carry about 100-110 lbs...traverse difficult terrain and do 20 miles a day. And one soldier can lead half a dozen mules.

No, it means they are navigating muddy, difficult terrain. Pack animals will do far better than motor vehicles.

"Pack mules can easily carry more than pvt Sad Sack of the Russian army makes a lot of sense."

We had real trouble stopping supply along the Ho Chi Minh trail because the Vietnamese used bicycles and manpower to move massive amounts of resupply along narrow trails where vehicles could not go.

And it makes sense, donkeys refuel themselves along the way so no fuel needed.

In other breaking news, DNA testing shows Marcus Maximus is the bastard son of Vladimir Putin, conceived through a space alien on its mothership after Putin was abducted near Vladivostok.
