Yuck. I detest Journey. Long story.

No way that song (or any song for that matter), is bigger than “These Boots are Made for Walkin’” by Nancy Sinatra.

Final Sopranos episode gave it a whole new level of exposure.

(Hope Journey didn’t get screwed on royalties.)

Most of the world likes boring, sissy garbage, so this make sense. For full disclosure, I don’t mind the song, but don’t consider it great. One step above a Harlequin Romance Novel.

I know the guy who wrote it. His Dad gave him the advice when he was ready to quit the biz.

I remember when it came out. It was fine.

After two months of hearing it on every radio and jukebox, I never wanted to hear it again.

Wow, Greatest song of all time? I would have gone along with most over played song of the early 80’s. I would slap the radio buttons so fast if that song came on. Any other station was better than the one playing that. My 67 mustang had those old radio buttons. In 81. I would take Start me Up by the stones.

Wasn't that song the anthem for one of Bill Clinton's campaigns? I remember hearing it performed by the cast of "Glee". It seemed they sang it every other month. 🙄

“seek and destroy” by metallica appears appropriate for today’s changing political environment...

Clearly, whoever voted for this has never heard the song “Big Balls” by AC/DC

This really is the greatest song of all time.

Never get tired of hearing it after these 40+ years (it originally was released on the "Escape" album by Journey in 1981).

I remember when I first heard it, I was in the Marine Corps, stationed at 29 Palms, CA and running my laundry in the Quonset hut barracks. It was about 120 degrees outside and at least 90 degrees inside, with the swamp coolers going full force. The Police were also big at that time and we were listening to their Zenyatta Mondatta album. Then somebody threw in that Journey cassette and pretty much every song on that album was magic. But "Don't Stop Believing", I knew that was going to be one of the greatest songs ever.

One word: Sopranos

“You know, Tony, it’s a multiple-choice thing with you. ‘Cause I can’t tell if you’re old-fashioned, you’re paranoid, or just a f—king a—hole.” —Carmela Soprano

“Biggest”?

Vague metric, sophomoric ear-candy typical of the era.
