According to recent statistics from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in 2022, approximately 991,000 people over the age of 12 in the United States misuse fentanyl. This data does not specify the exact number of people addicted to fentanyl, as misuse can include non-addictive use, but it provides a significant insight into the scale of the problem.
For a more precise figure on addiction specifically, one would need to consider those with an opioid use disorder where fentanyl is the primary substance involved. However, specific statistics on just fentanyl addiction are less commonly delineated in national surveys. Given the context, it's clear that fentanyl misuse is a substantial public health issue, with the potential for a significant portion of these individuals developing an addiction.
Thus, while we can't pinpoint an exact number of "fentanyl addicts," the figure of 991,000 misusers gives a baseline for understanding the extent of the challenge.

I don’t think the sine wave analogy is useful in that context.
Totally the truth right there.
I’ve seen a lot of former addicts and alcoholics “put on a tool belt” and rejoin society. It isn’t easy but it is possible. This moron really doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
It is to me, because the smaller the problem and the smaller the correction needed. The bigger the problem is allowed to get, the bigger the correction that is needed to correct it.
If there are 1 million fentanyl addicts, then how many METH addicts are there?
It seems we have a major problem with drug addiction in the USA that needs to be addressed.
By all means, save their lives by forcing them to go cold turkey. How do you then rehabilitate them back into society?
Take a million entry level tradesmen out of California’s workforce and you are going to have real problems. Do rehab right and you’re coming up Aces on both counts by turning able bodied recovering (sealed border cold turkey) addicts into entry level, tax paying tradesmen.
Friend, DJT is on it, Bigly.
Ah! Now I get it.

They won’t put on a tool belt UNTIL they go cold turkey. It’s step No. 1.
Cry me a river.
If/when they recover they’ll have a real appreciation for something bigger and greater than they are, and that if they ever go back to it, they’ll probably die.
Schumer has the magic steet taco breakfast burrito cure. Corona beer, a Mexican lime and some guacamole.
It’s pretty much legal in Nashville except for the larger dealers already
People in my youth we called hobos or bums or skid row flock to it
It had her on the run
That is what methadone is for!
Give them the opportunity for a tax paying job and an American dream life! Is that no longer an option if, as a stupid kid, the f’n government got them addicted to that poison?
