It doesn’t take much digging through the vast array of coffee-making apparatuses, either at your local kitchen store or online, to get overwhelmed. There are drip machines, pod-machines, French presses — even this odd-looking contraption.
When selecting the best brewer for you, you’ll want to consider a variety of factors: How fast is it? How much cleanup is required? How much coffee does your household consume? And of course, there’s taste.

I love my pod machine. Dunkin Donut dark pods are my favorite.
Espresso done in a good super automatic. If I want flavoured coffee then I add syrups. For a latte or flat white, full cream milk either steamed or heated except during Great Lent, then I tolerate oat milk (never soy).
I do prefer a dark French roast but that is a preference item. Have a great place not too far away that does a proper dark roast (it’s dark not burnt and has lots of oils for crema).
Making coffee is relaxing. I also make it at church on Saturday and Sunday morning for my fellow parishioners (never charge. It is a personal ministry that helps keep the faithful around after Liturgy and grows friendships). Occasionally someone will talk me into making Greek coffee or its Arabic equivalent (love the Spices in Arabic coffee)
Second most important: filter your water. We use a big berkey filter to take out fluoride and other tastes.
4. French Press
