Actually I typed in the wrong name its Galaxy Nymph Double. the Amadeus is on the floor only time I have had one get mold, I am working on it with fungicide but it won’t bloom this year.
PS - best place I have found to buy bulbs is ebay. If you start looking in November you can find some nice ones and they are reasonable compared to bulb websites. I just look for buyers with good feedback. Have gotten my best bulbs through ebay. I look for 26cm and bigger, you will get two stalks that way.

Me either! I do use eBay for lots of things, but haven’t thought about purchasing bulbs that way. Thanks for the tip, MwH!
I went to bed with a feeling of dread last night - the forecast was for freezing rain coming in overnight & this morning. My niece has been without power for a good 24 or more hours after the freezing rain that came in Thursday night. Fortunately, we got a very light glaze here & there was no wind, but other counties got a lot more with power lines affected. The power company was saying some folks wouldn’t get their electric back until Saturday.
So this Saturday morning, I woke up to beautiful snow! I checked the radar & no freezing rain. We should be all snow, get a big break late morning, then another batch of snow which could be rain at that point. Temps will warm up this afternoon & any snow should melt off the driveway pretty fast.
My niece was upset because she had some seeds under a grow light & they had germinated & were just breaking the surface of her potting medium - she’s not sure if they’ll make it with the power off & no grow light for a day or more.
PS - a great-nephew arrived Thursday morning. He’s my 4th great-nephew & I have 2 great-nieces as well. Mom’s 6th great-grandchild ... the clan is growing :-)

You didn’t ask, but:
Depending upon WHAT she’s started, I would suggest she put the germination cover back on them and move them to a south-facing window until she has power again. A few days won’t matter much as long as they stay warm-ish and/or get some light for heat.

How much food can you grow in 100 sq ft? Set aside a small amount of your yard for vegetable landscaping instead of growing so much grass.
I began to get lots of questions about growing food to help save money. Then, while working on my new book, Edible Landscaping, I had an aha! moment. As I was assembling statistics to show the wastefulness of the American obsession with turf, I wondered what the productivity of just a small part of American lawns would be if they were planted with edibles instead of grass.
I wanted to pull together some figures to share with everyone, but calls to seed companies and online searches didn’t turn up any data for home harvest amounts — only figures for commercial agriculture. From experience, I knew those commercial numbers were much too low compared with what home gardeners can get. For example, home gardeners don’t toss out misshapen cucumbers and sunburned tomatoes. They pick greens by the leaf rather than the head, and harvests aren’t limited to two or three times a season.
For years, I’ve known that my California garden produces a lot. By late summer, my kitchen table overflows with tomatoes, peppers and squash; in spring and fall, it’s broccoli, lettuces and beets. But I’d never thought to quantify it. So I decided to grow a trial garden and tally up the harvests to get a rough idea of what some popular vegetables can produce.

Good topic for planning. My Dad got the most out of his south side Chicago backyard garden. He heavily fed it with buried carp he had caught and horse manure he picked up on drives to Indiana, just across the state line from us, he knew of a riding trail and would take a shovel and put it in his trunk. His best space saving idea which worked great is sweet corn, he only had about a dozen stalks but he put his cukes in with the corn and trailed the vines up the cornstalks. Worked great.
Buried fish heads and the, 'Three Sisters Planting' is a Native American thing. I've done it with my boys in their younger years when they'd still listen to me as I imparted my vast knowledge to the little ingrates who ate me out of house and home, 24/7/365. ;)

Well, we’re finally getting out water table recharged. We are out of the dry weather pattern for sure. Got a storm tonight, one Thurs and a BIG one next weekend.
Some of my onions are up. I started some lavender and rosemary. We’ll see how long it takes them to come up. I know they’re tough to start.
so while I can’t wait to get out in the garden, the snow is at least providing opportunity to use the new snowshoes we bought.
BTW, more motivation to grow your own and shop with local farmers.
