“The FAA — another story — determined that the workforce was too white. They actually came out with a directive to white and we want the people that are competent,” he said.
“You have to be talented, naturally talented — geniuses — you can’t have regular people doing that, won’t be able to do it, but I will restore faith in American air travel.”
During the Q-and-A period, Trump acknowledged, “We don’t know, necessarily, that it was even the controller’s fault” and also blamed the Black Hawk helicopter’s crew for not spotting the plane.

Just noted DEI is not good when it comes to key positions such as Air Traffic Controllers.

As a rule, the faster aircraft has the better field of view and is responsible for accident avoidance.
I’m guessing that most people went straight to DEI when they heard about the crash. DEI/Trans is the Biden Obama Walz Harris legacy.
The investigators will have full access to the "black boxes". They can reconstruct what occurred. I suspect the Blackhawk was in the wrong place and there was insufficient time to warn the crew to stay out of the approach flight path.

What really alarmed me was the Obama/Biden FAA’s wanted to recruit so many with disabilities including bad eyesight!

A good vision system should easily distinguish airborne objects from land-based movement just as a matter of angularity. I know it won't work in clouds, but that's not such a large fraction that there wouldn't be significant benefit to visual detection.

President Trump is justified in bringing up this issue of DEI.
But it is not all due to DEI, unless the helo crew was also DEI.
The latter should have been super-observant and triple-checking for traffic before literally entering into a busy glideslope of an active and busy DCA runway.
Plus, yes, they have orders to do drills, but at what cost? Continuity of government? WTH is that? Was there even an important reason for the helo to be there at that hour? When air traffic drops way down in a few hours to much lower levels?
Lots of stuff to address here.

Were airline pilots, armed services personnel, air traffic controllers, and air traffic control systems personnel and system recruited, promoted and trained to the highest professional standards, or did DEI necessarily put less competent people in each of those positions?
The question answers itself.
Hiring, training, promotions and contracts went to DEI not excellence.

Only this time the legacy media are irrelevant NO ONE listens to OR watches them anymore!! The combined ratings of CNN and MSNBC during prime time is 300,000 viewers!! Newsmax right now is kicking their a$$, podcasts are blowing them out of the water, social media has made them obsolete!! They can scream all they want to NO ONE is listening!! I am 72 years old and I have not even listened to a local news broadcast in at least 10 years, the younger generation today NEVER turns on a TV they stream everything!! If our side would STOP playing the clips of their moron news broadcasts NO ONE would even know they existed!!! Why in the hell do we give them ANY attention at all by replaying what the hell they said on the air??
