An Indiana man who was just recently pardoned by President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot was shot and killed by a police officer during a traffic stop on Sunday.
Matthew Huttle, 42, was fatally shot by a deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department at around 4.15pm on State Road 14, Fox 59 reports.
Indiana State Police said the traffic stop led the unidentified deputy to try to arrest Huttle, but he allegedly resisted and struggled with the officer.
That altercation led the deputy to fire his gun, killing Huttle.
It remains unclear why the deputy stopped Huttle near the Jasper and Pulaski county lines and what he was being arrested for.
Officers only noted he was in possession of a firearm, but did not say whether Huttle had wielded the weapon.
Huttle and his uncle, Dale Huttle, were previously arrested for taking part in the January 6 US Capitol riots.
The FBI said the 42-year-old was inside the Capitol for roughly 10 minutes, but remained on Capitol grounds for several hours.

He had a lot of personal troubles unrelated to J6. One of them being that he wasn’t supposed to be driving in the first place.
R.I.P. young Matthew Huttle
He had many injuries prior to J6. Considering how J6’ers were treated in jail, he must have suffered a lot. Then the recent deaths in his family...
Why did the cop shoot him? did he have to? why did he pull out his gun?
Recently I saw a video of a cop arresting someone from a car and she shot his foot by accident...when she was removing his gun from his wait, her finger was in the trigger. Dumb
His personal troubles could explain his participation in January 6th.
Matthew Huttle, unfortunately, had legal troubles that were independent of J6. We can empathize with his J6 troubles and still recognized that he was a flawed man with troubles outside that.
He was probably risking prison when he was stopped, because he wasn’t supposed to be driving because of intoxicated offenses. That may be why he resisted arrest, because he saw himself as going off to prison, because he violated his conditions in relation to his arrests.
Some people live for the chaos.
She’s been fired.

I read that Huttle had a gun.
The following is from the local newspaper about the shooting:

ISP investigating shooting involving JCSD deputy:
JASPER COUNTY — The Indiana State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting from Sunday afternoon.
A preliminary investigation into the matter by the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post showed that around 4:15 p.m., CST, a deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on State Road 14 east of South Road 475 East.
The stop was made near the Pulaski/Jasper County Line. As the officer attempted to make an arrest, the suspect resisted and an altercation took place. This resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect, who was in possession of a firearm, according to investigators.
ISP is currently leading the investigation with assistance from the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office. The identity of the deceased suspect will be released once positive identification and family notification have been made, police said.
Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office for formal review.
Jasper Co, IN, being sort of MAGA. It is a fairly conservative county in northwestern Indiana. I was born and raised there and still have connections with many people in it. I’ve driven the section of Indiana 14 countless times and it is a flat and straight section of highway that is easily 10 miles between IN 49 and US 421, thus lending itself to easily exceeding the 55 mph speed limit.
Thanks!
Good news
Apparently the J6ers still gave TERRORIST in their records.
He was treated like many traffic stops of black males.
Yep this was a pretorian guard killing of an innocent. Cops are only loyal to their pension in the vast majority.
