I went to a college game a few years ago, and it’s so annoying now with all the TV time outs, you sit there for ten minutes and there’s nothing going on.

Kincaid looked like he almost got the first down. It depended on where the ball was when his knees touched the ground... But it was very close...maybe 2-5 inches.
Allen was clearly over the first down line. The refs should have given him forward progress since he was thrown backwards by the chiefs. As soon as Allen’s forward progress was stopped...the play was dead... But it was not whistled dead. It should have been.
I never believed the league was rigged...am more apt to believe it now. Maybe related more to gambling concerns?

Lol!
I get a lot of ticket offers from work and I go if the boss plans on going 😉
That being said Any indoor event NBA or NHL has become increasingly intolerable.
As you say EVERY break in the action is filled with The TikTok Thunderdom onslaught of the senses of #11 volume and 15 Million tv screens with full grown “adults” pulling up there shirts and acting the Fool. 😂
It's really quit embarrassing to be around.
A camera caught me last year at a Grizzlies Game an I waved and smiled. The crowd around me was losing there ever loving minds.
I don't get it.
😛

It is laughable that a quarterback can throw a pass and hit an opposing player in the numbers, or a hitter or can swing at a ball 6 inches out of the strike zone, but a a ref missing a call is almost criminal. Not quite as laughable as grown men who spend their time watching other men chase a ball up and down a field, though.

Oh please. The game was over when idiot Sean McDermott went for two 2-pt conversions. And kept running the stupid sneaks all night when they weren’t working. He was outcoached. They should fire him.

Oh my friends! We need someone on the Eagles to call them out! My candidate would be Shaquan Barkley.
He’s the best player on both teams and can put out an us-against them narrative. Let them fine him afterwards but make them answer to this BS.

The NFL works to prevent upsets that would hurt the massive sports book betting operators in Vegas and elsewhere. In essence, they and the NFL are partners.

Saquon is going to go through the Chiefs’ defense like a hot knife through butter.

Don't bet on it. Steve Spagnuolo's Chiefs D is not the absolute clown show we saw from Washington's pathetic D on Sunday.
Remember this is the guy who held the highest scoring team in NFL history, the 16-0 Patriots to a mere 14 points in Super Bowl XLII.

This has been going on forever. Over a decade ago the Refs favored Dallas over Detroit because they wanted a Romo - Farve match up.

I decided I had better things to do on Sundays then. With the kneeling, I am gone forever.

And YES there is a big difference between a single referee screwing up a call during the heat of the game vs systematic biased targeting of one team over another by the entire referee and Instant Replay staff to the point that it affects the outcome.

There’s also Taylor Swift. The NFL knows they will get better ratings when the Swifties show up for KC.

Yep. The ball didn’t cross. Refs didn’t skew anything. Some pass interference were iffy, but judgement calls.

Buffalo was stupid for constantly trying 4th and short with Allen. 3rd and short, no gain. So do it again for the 4th time? Try a fast bootleg or run around.

About time for a Black Socks style scandal to occur in pro football!

Won't happen. The Sox scandal happened in part because the players weren't paid well relative to the gate.

Baseball is 9 against 9, with a key player or two (pitcher, top slugger) beiong able to decide a game. No film to speak of in 1919. over 100 million eyeballs, numerous camera angles, and digital playback makes it harder for a player to steal the game without paying a huge professional penalty . . . and tey all get paid pretty well.

Two other weak spots ... the refs, who can either use a proxy to lay a fat wager, and possibly not on the outcome, but on a propositional bet (e.g. how many yards or TDs Barkley gets). Or they can take money directly.

Alternatively, the NFL itslfe may hint they want the narrative to go a certain way (e.g. for KC to three-peat or not three-peat).

When Buffalo made it to the Super Bowl four years in a row, the NFL hated it because Buffalo doesn't have a national following like Pittsburgh, Dallas, or GReen Bay do. Do I do NOT believe the NFL interfered with the integrity back then. Today... I don't know.Money talks, but it pulls in all different directions.

We were denied a true Super Bowl this year when America’s Team, the Detroit Lions, were devastated by injuries on the defensive side of the ball. They were the best team and would’ve crushed the Chiefs, refs or no refs.

I pretty much stopped watching the NFL when the kneeling began, but yesterday, I did root for the Eagles to beat the Football Team, which I was sincerely hoping would not be in the Super Bowl.

I'm still a college football fan even though playoffs, the transfer portal, weekday games, 7:45 PM kickoffs, transcontinental leagues and the two-minute warning have greatly dampened my enthusiasm.

I just used the Black Sox scandal as an example of a shocking (Shocking to the average fan - “Say it ain’t so Joe!”) sports scandal. Other than that little similarity.

Do I think that “the owners” would try and “influence games” to get a narrative that could mean in their estimation 100s of millions of more revenue. If they thought, they could get away with it - yes they would! The question is do they think they can get away with it?
