So if Trump goes after the cartels, that will make things...worse?
Mexican cartels are making billions trafficking illegals and drugs across our border. They are allowing dangerous gangs and terrorists to invade the U.S and destroy our country.
They are raping and killing women and children.
Mexico essentially does nothing to control the cartels. The cartels control the politicians.
But somehow, going to where the cartels are with special forces will make things worse. They say it will destabilize things. Cartels making billions each year committing crimes is destabilizing. Why would we want to keep things stable?

This reminds me of all the experts in the Obama and Biden administration who continually thought that the way to make the world safer was to appease Iran and Russia.
We were constantly told that the unsophisticated Trump and his people would make the world more dangerous.

Funny how the left only attacks honest people and appeases evil. They are certainly playing for the other team.
Translation: the US media and Mexican cartels have the same CIA/Deep State sponsors.
This will only help Mexico not hurt it.
Maybe, instead of sending all 87,000 IRS agents to the border Trump should send a few thousand to look into the finances of the media. They may be receiving kickbacks from the cartels.
If Trump goes after the Cartels, expect beheadings in the USA and car bombs in Mall parking lots. Just steel yourselves.

Everyone talks about commandos. What they are freaking out about is money. Banks and businesses that launder the money are in grave risk of seizure and their CEOs getting arrested. Looking at you HSBC, Wells Fargo, BofA.

The biggest problem I see with all this blather is the simple plain fact that WE THE USA OWN THE CARTELS, They work for US, We are their Daddy.

The way forward is really not difficult.
First, fire all the lawyers telling you what can and what cannot be done. Just don’t worry about “legality”
The DEA knows where everything is. Simply send drones in a very large strike and just kill everything. It might be necessary to take her out too.

The US government needs to tax and control the remittances. This will require an act of Congress. Trump needs to wine and dine key representatives and senators at the White House often.
To send a remittance should require a picture ID of the sender that the US government knows about. The sender should be at least 18 years of age so anchor baby can’t be used to send money by a parent.
The remittance tax should be progressive to make the use of third-party senders expensive. The rate on the first $2,000 taxed should be a modest 10%, the rate on the second $2,000 might be 15%, the rate on the third $2,000 might be 20%, and the top rate might be 25%.
The tax amounts should be computed looking back 12 months.
The rates should be low enough so the invaders will not use untaxed transfer arrangements.
Foreigners should only be able to send to their native country. Persons whose birth country is unknown should not be able to wire money. All that is to prevent invaders from say Honduras from wiring money to cartels in Mexico.

The left also think they’ll continue to be in charge. Ask the pandering congressman AOC replaced how that worked out.
The left can be counted on to be spectacularly wrong about, well, everything. If the question is “should we do something about the cartels?” and the wrongest answer is “no, we shouldn’t” then that will be the left’s answer.

That’s not going to fly. The law schools seek out only leftists. This ensures the judiciary is mainly leftist and in opposition to Trump. The judiciary has the final say.
The ICE needs to seek out judicial warrants for its operations.
