Woke US Senate Library spends $1.9M pumping up Fauci and Pelosi titles — but not Trump, Vance bestsellers
NY Post ^ | 1/26/25 | Jon Levine

President Trump has vowed to crack down on the extreme left-wing agenda — but a woke stronghold lurks a stone’s throw away.

The United States Senate Library — located in the basement of the Russell Senate office building in Washington D.C. — offers a slew of prominently displayed woke titles pumping everything from diversity equity and inclusion, far-left policy manifestos, polemics against Christians, and even deep dives into the long-discredited Russia probe.

The taxpayer-funded library — its 21-person payroll expenditures exceed $1.9 million per year — maintains a collection of 45,000 books and serves a population of roughly 6,000, mostly senators, committee sstaffers and other authorized users. It purports to be a strictly nonpartisan resource in the Capitol.

But of its thousands of tomes, it prominently highlights only a select, woke few in special cases and racks.

Among them are “On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service,” by the recently pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Also highlighted is “The Message,” a DEI-screed by Ta-Nehisi Coates that has been condemned by some critics as antisemitic. Coates has himself speculated that he might have participated in the Oct 7 massacre against Israel if he grew up in Gaza.

“The Art of Power: My Story as America’s First Woman Speaker of the House,” by Trump’s longtime nemesis Rep. Nancy Pelosi, is also on display.

But none of President Trump’s 22 books are on display, and only one can be found in the stacks — his 1987 best-seller “Art of the Deal.” When The Post asked for a copy, a staffer said it was not kept on display and a library employee would have to go find it. The same treatment was meted out for Vice President Vance’s 2016 memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.”

But books on the baseless Trump-Russia allegations were in supply.

This misuse of funds should be shut down especially if books by admitted law breakers are hawked there! If Fooych, and others, accepted preemptive pardons then they have admitted guilt......

The US Senate library had none of President Trump’s 22 books on display,
and only one can be found in the stacks — his 1987 best-seller “Art of the Deal.”

When The Ny Post asked for a copy, a staffer said it was not kept on display
and a library employee would have to go find it.

The same treatment was meted out for VP Vance’s 2016 memorable “Hillbilly Elegy.”

I love books. The political siding and activism at work of federal government employees has to stop. Defund it, make them volunteers not employees ,or resign.

Public library districts all over the country spend a lot of taxpayer dollars on books by Deep State’s cronies.

It’s another form of money laundering.

More here on the US senate library...

I think.

https://librarytechnology.org/library/41845

Statistics

Service Population 6,000 Residents
Collection size 220,000 volumes
Annual Circulation 5,400 transactions

If that’s the same library, I’d love to know how much it’s costing taxpayers.

Almost every library in the United States is like this. The American Library Association ALA is a Marxist leftist spewing sewer.

Librarians are leftist at percentages even higher than college professors and are paid thr your local taxes.

Where do you think drag queen story hour comes from?

School need to be taken private. So must libraries.

Vote down your local library budget. When you see how their budgets support leftist authors world wide you will want to close them to open balanced private organizations.

Oh if we all could have a Hillsdale around the corner!

Fire them and close it.

In most towns and cities only a small population is now served by the public library.

Private libraries that serve interests make sense.

Example. We have a local library that has about 1000 dvds displayed.

It states that it has 20000 dvds cataloged in basement stacks. Ask for a DVD and they will get it for you.

However there is no individual database listing for the collection. So you have no idea and can sit there and ask for film after film. Either on line or at the desk.

No available database to scroll through.! No alpha database!

Incompetence or lies.

You decide.

And they “boast 1.6 million on-line hits, bit have no statistics for how many actually visit it - it’s an on-line etail entity pushing leftist policies - either do away with it or limit it to just actual historical volumes about our government - and leave 3 ‘curators” on the payroll...instead of the 21 person bloat.

Would seem appropriate to have historical reference materials, budget information, law books, tax code.. items unique to the role if a US Senator.

Otherwise these overpaid wealthy lawmakers can read anything they want online at little or no cost.

Reassign staff to NC or CA to help with relief efforts. If you can stock shelves with books you can stock relief supplies. The fresh air will do ‘em some good. A reality check out of the DC bubble will do them some good.
