WASHINGTON, Oct 13 (Reuters) - A federal judge on Wednesday held top officials at the Washington, D.C., Department of Corrections in civil contempt, after ruling they violated the civil rights of a U.S. Capitol riot defendant by impeding his access to medical care. "It is more than just inept and bureaucratic shuffling of papers," U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said. "I find that the civil rights of the defendant have been abridged. I don't know if it's because he is a Jan. 6 defendant or not, but I find that this matter should be referred to the attorney general of the United States ... for a civil rights investigation."

I post this to ask the question whether we can expect the new U.S. Attorney for DC to launch a federal civil rights investigation into the operation of the DC GULAG?

“Amid his flurry of first moves as president, Donald Trump tapped a vehement supporter of Jan. 6 rioters, right-wing activist Ed Martin, to serve as Washington, D.C.’s interim government prosecutor, NBC News reports.

Unlike other regions where district attorneys are elected, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., handles both local and federal cases, and the U.S. attorney is handpicked by the president.”

Just like this!

“How Ferguson elevated the profile of the Justice Department’s civil rights enforcers
BY ERIC TUCKER AND ALANNA DURKIN RICHER

WASHINGTON (AP) — As the first images out of Ferguson, Missouri surfaced 10 years ago — the bloodied body of a man left for hours in the street beneath white sheets, protesters smashing car windows and looting stores — it didn’t take long for the federal government to see a role for itself.

Acting with notable haste, the FBI within two days opened a criminal investigation into the killing of Michael Brown at the hands of a police officer, while the Justice Department less than a month later launched a civil rights inquiry culminating in a devastating report that identified abuses by the city’s overwhelmingly white police force and court system.

The investigations catapulted the department’s Civil Rights Division into the spotlight, bringing heightened publicity to a unit whose work since its 1957 creation included fighting for voting rights and prosecuting Los Angeles police officers in the beating of Rodney King. The Ferguson probes became part of a cluster of high-profile investigations into police departments, work that fed a national dialogue on race and law enforcement and formed a legacy item of the Obama administration Justice Department before being largely abandoned under President Donald Trump. Inquiries into big-city police forces returned under President Joe Biden.”

Good thing our forefathers had the foresight to limit the governor’s governing of themselves.
It had devolved to that over our entire Country until thr 2024 election in which with God’s enablement we have slipped away from the precipice of ruin.

The only black “involved” in the Jan 6 riot cases was the cop who killed the lady climbing through the window. And he got off scott free.

I’m no lawyer but what about a civil case for damages by Ashli Babbitt’s family based on a violation of her Civil Rights? Worked for Michael Brown, the “gentle giant”.

Hopefully Georgetown will be renamed J6erville after the civil liabilities are paid and collected.

“Jail violated civil rights of Capitol riot defendant, U.S. judge says”

How about this?: “A Due Process Clause is found in both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, which prohibit the deprivation of “life, liberty, or property” by the federal and state governments, respectively, without due process of law.”
Seems to me the Biden administration ignored this and none of the Lame Street Media questioned them about it.

Oh, my mistake the Constitution no longer applies in 2025.

1) this is confirmation that J6ers’ civil rights have been violated (obviously thousands of times).

2) “The investigations catapulted the department’s Civil Rights Division into the spotlight, bringing heightened publicity to a unit whose work since its 1957 creation included fighting for voting rights and prosecuting Los Angeles police officers in the beating of Rodney King.

OK, I’ll do the math for you. 1 + 2 = DOJ investigation of civil rights abuse in the DC Gulag. Then again, for a three year cheerleader of the Uke police state, WTH do you care about civil rights?

Which is why we should demand an investigation of every violation of the civil and constitutional rights of those incarcerated in connection with the JG political rally, and those responsible prosecuted for those crimes.
