President Trump is taking the first trip of his second term on Friday, to visit Asheville, North Carolina — torn apart by Hurricane Helene in September — and then Los Angeles, Calif., devastated by wildfires in recent weeks, some of which are still burning.

Sen. Adam Schiff said Friday that he hopes President Trump's invitation for himself and other Democratic lawmakers to visit the wildfire devastation "is the beginning of a partnership" on a federal response to the tragedy.
"The people that are affected by this are Democrats and Republicans. It really doesn't matter how they vote," Schiff told MSNBC host Joe Scarborough.

Yep, the insider don’t give a rats ass about the rest of us, but Trump, I really believe does.
Hope that pest, Gavin Newsom doesn’t show up -he already said he’d be at the airport when Trump arrives, no doubt to deflect off his own failures and lecture Trump about Climate Change as he did when Trump visited in 2018.
Trump lectured him right back about his mismanaged fire policies in California that lead directly to massive wildfires. Don’t forget to remind Newsom that he also diverted funds from fire prevention for DEI policies.

My wife and I have been thru Asheville since 9/27, and we were hard-pressed to see any hurricane damage, even along the French Broad River. Most damage was in the suburban areas, primarily to the east.
My nephew went down for a couple days i guess. Then it went to snowing in his township and he had to return.
The townships plow their own roads up there including some county roads.
The biggest problem is people. They spin out, leave the vehicle and walk away. The vehicles end up right in the way.
