My grandmother and mother both kept large tins of lard out in garage and anytime they fried anything, they would use lard and the biscuits my grandmother used to make with lard were to die for.

The HHS hearings are going to be amazing. The Science has been lying to us for decades about nutrition and many other things.

Pork also leads in foodborne bacteria by a long mile over any other meat, so you’d better source it well.

“This Meat is the Healthiest in the World, Even Healthier Than Many Vegetables”
ANY meat is healthier than vegetables as vegetables are designed to poison people and animals (part of their defense systems, since they cannot run away or otherwise hide).
But still the headline is progress.

For over 150 years the Hungarians were rule by the Muslim Ottoman Turks. Being Muslim, they didn’t eat pork, but would eat the other farm animals.
So the Christian Hungarians increased their pork production, knowing that their rulers would not take their food.

I love bacon and I save my bacon grease. I really don’t like the taste of the lard that you can buy in the grocery store if I get pork chops with a lot of fat I will trim it all and render the lard.
