Pam Bondi Reminds Adam Schiff That He Was ‘Censured’ By Congress For ‘Reckless’ Comments In Fiery Exchange

Attorney general nominee Pam Bondi reminded Democratic California Sen. Adam Schiff that he had been “censured” by Congress for making allegedly “reckless” comments she said were “just like” the ones he made during her Wednesday confirmation hearing.

Schiff questioned the nominee on whether she will have the independent ability to reject President-elect Donald Trump’s potential unlawful orders and to give him good advice that may differ from the president-elect’s viewpoints. As their exchange grew increasingly more hostile, Bondi pointed to Schiff previously being censured in June 2023 over his conduct during the investigation into the now-debunked claims that Trump colluded with Russia in 2016.

“So will it be your advice to the president, ‘Mr. President, I know you want to issue hundreds of pardons on day one.’ Will it be your advice to the president, ‘No, Mr. President, I need to go over them on a case-by-case basis, do not issue blanket pardons, will that be your advice to the president?” Schiff asked.

“Senator, I have not looked at any of those files. If confirmed, I will look at the files for the pardons, as well as the ongoing investigations,” Bondi replied, leading Schiff to express doubt that she will review hundreds of cases on her first day.

“Hey, can I answer the question? I would have plenty of staff. You said ‘of course you won’t,’” Bondi replied. “Listen, I’m not gonna mislead this body nor you … you were censured by Congress senator for comments just like this that are so reckless.”

Schiffty may have been a criminal while running for US Senate. Brandon may give him a pardon. Garvey gets the seat.

“The California Democrat Party, expecially, is like a venereal disease, contagious and harmful to many.”

Harmful to many? More like... harmful to most or to all.

Look at what a disaster the US economy always ends up under Democrat regimes. Carter inflation, Obama stagnation and the current Bidenomics. All quite intenrionally done, IMHO.

Bondi did seem a bit thin skinned.
She should’ve stated that of course she would listen to what Trump says, he’s her boss and Chief executive. She would never advise Trump to break the law. She would always advise him to follow the law and leave it at that.
I think Schiff was trying to get Bondi to say that she would keep an eye on Trump and report any bad behavior.
The DOJ was created by statute in 1870 as a part of executive branch. The constitution doesn’t delegate the DOJ to act as a check on the executive branch. Judicial review is by the judiciary and Congress is responsible for oversight of the executive. The two other branches of government check the executive branch. So the AG’s role isn’t to investigate the Chief executive, that’s for Congress to act upon.
People really think that DOJ is independent. It’s not and it shouldn’t be. It’s part of the executive. All its employees are civil servants or appointed. The only elected official n the executive branch is the president. Congress does have oversight power over DOJ.
The problem with the DOJ is a result of their belief that they are independent of Congress and the president. That’s dangerous because agents and prosecutor have qualified immunity and enormous power to launch investigations and indictments. In fact there needs to be much more vigorous accountability, transparency and oversight of DOJ. Otherwise they will continue to act as the Praetorian guard of the deep state.

I think that would’ve been the perfect time for her to say, “I will not say that I’ll be the President’s wing man, as Eric Holder said he would be for President Obama.”

During the Trump-Russia investigation Schiffty stated 8 times that he had irrefutable proof Trump was guilty. Several months later during Congressional Hearings, under oath Schifft stated he had no proof. Now this clown is a dem senator. I doubt God can save America.

Just look at the people CA has sent to DC. What’s the problem out there? There must be some brain-eating bacteria that stops just before they die so they can still vote.

Why would she need to review any pardons at all? A Presidential pardon is, well, Presidential.

Did anyone review Biden's pardons before he issued them?

There are a lot of Liberals in California. But can we be sure that 51% of the state is both Far Left and also Stupid? I’d like to see honest elections in California. Verifiable results, and all results available on the night of the election. Clean up the voting and I bet we’d see fewer people like Schiff.

, District 2 Supervisor Allen Long has taken a firmer stance, stating that he does not believe in the commission and will not make any appointments.

I wish Bondi had reminded Crazie Mazie that she’s not too old and still has a chance to receive a few “sexual advances” from some old oriental guys. Sounded to me like Mazie is a pretty horny individual. Likes to talk about sex in public.

Greenland would make a perfect high security prison. There’s got to be some place in the middle of all that ice to build one and it could even be GREEN, no carbon fuels allowed.
