Who started the Pacific Palisades Fire? Haunting new theory suggests New Year's Eve revelers could be to blame
Daily Mail ^ | 1/12/25 | Rachel Bowman

A shocking analysis has found that the devastating Palisades Fire in Los Angeles may have been started by the rekindling of a New Year's Eve blaze.

Evidence reviewed by The Washington Post suggests that the Palisades inferno was ignited in the same spot where fire crews put out flames a week before - and residents claim their response the second time was much slower.

The Palisades Fire - the largest of the three blazes ripping through Los Angeles -ignited on January 7 and has scorched 23,713 acres and is only 13 per cent contained as of Sunday.

A week before that blaze broke out, firefighters were called to the Pacific Palisades shortly after midnight on New Year's Day to a small brush fire residents claim was started by fireworks.

The blaze, called the Lachman Fire, was held at eight acres and reported contained at 4:46 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

Satellite imagery obtained by the Post identified a burn scar of the New Year's Eve fire. Additional imagery taken on Tuesday when the Palisades Fire broke out indicates that the origin of the smoke overlapped with the burn scar.

The bombshell evidence comes as the death toll rose to 24 and locals were warned to brace for 'life-threatening' winds which could spur on the fires.

'The general duration of this is not looking good,' meteorologist Rose Schoenfield warned.

The weather is expected to contribute to another stint of dangerous and potentially extreme fire conditions which could exacerbate the fires already burning and cause more new ones to pop up.

Los Angeles City Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said: 'It's very important that the community understands that these wind events are coming.'

These conditions have prompted a red flag warning until 6pm Wednesday.

We will know for certain that the fires have caused enough damage when the authorities begin to blame the white Jake from State Farm for his lack of response.

Once again government makes the conditions ripe for this to happen then blame everyone else.

A hot muffler can start a fire, same with hot brakes along with hundreds of other mundane things. A state as wealthy as California should be able to stop 99.9% of fires before they get out of control.

Yeah, they find the dude with a flame thrower, 5 phones and a UN-funded card in the act (and he wasn’t the only one)—and now it was supposed to be embers from a fire put out 7 days earlier?

And how about the other fires?

I could never understand why any logical thinking individual would ever consider launching those candle lanterns. They are floating torches and dangerous as hell.

Unfortunately, the term “logical thinking individual” probably describes only half the population. :-)

But, but there's no wind and they have a permit! As if a permit trumps common sense and allows them to violate physics.

Being that stupid should be enough to ban people like this from even having sharp scissors. And to think they are driving on the same roads as you or I.

White Jake from State Farm probably is collecting Medicare by now. It was a long time ago when they kicked him to the curb and replaced him with black Jake from State Farm.

And the issue really isn’t that the fire(s) exist. The issue is that the city, county, and state weren’t prepared to handle ANY fire, really. That’s in spite of the fact that there are wild fires EVERY year there.

White Jake From State Farm — a real employee who came up with the ad and starred in the initial commercials after winning an employee contest — has been replaced by a black guy for DIE reasons.

Kind of like how the real firefighters were replaced with fat lesbians.

Maybe that New Years Eve fire was not kicked off by fireworks but by a professional arsonist/terrorist who had carefully selected that site as one strategically located to to start a New Years Eve wild fire to do the most serious end widespread damage to the Pacific Palisades and Malibu areas.

Unfortunately the conditions were not right for a major wild fire on New Years Eve and the LAFD was able to get on site early enough to put the fire out before it had a chance to spread.

So the arsonist came back to re start the fire in the same carefully selected site when the forecasts of record high winds made conditions ideal.
