Biden inherited a mess. He leaves the U.S. in far better shape, at home and abroad.
It is easy to forget how desperate things were on Jan. 20, 2021, when Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. became the 46th president of the United States.
Just two weeks earlier, thousands of President Donald Trump’s supporters had stormed the U.S. Capitol in a violent attempt to keep Congress from certifying Biden’s election victory. The nation was at the height of the coronavirus pandemic; in that month, 3,000 Americans died daily from covid-19. There were newly developed, lifesaving vaccines, thanks to the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed — but there was no viable plan to distribute them. Schools and workplaces were shuttered; hotels and airlines had no customers; restaurants tried to survive by offering take-out. The U.S. economy and the world economy were on life support.
Four years later, the country is in vastly better shape, at home and abroad. The economy, though still recovering, is the envy of the developed world; U.S. stock markets are at or near all-time highs. Our political system has survived. We have made overdue investments in infrastructure and technology. And in a world full of conflict and danger, American troops are not at war for the first time in a generation.
History may fault Biden for the way his term in office ended. By any objective standard, however, he was a very good president whose accomplishments will benefit the nation for many years to come.
Biden’s critics find it convenient to look past what may be remembered as his biggest success: He guided the country through, and ultimately out of, the pandemic. The virus has not entirely gone away, but getting vaccinated is as easy as dropping by one’s neighborhood pharmacy. And regardless of what Republican...

sure. he achieved a lock on worst president ever, replacing gw bush as the current worst (imho), followed closely by obama, carter and daddy bush (the guy who lost China).
Biden didn’t do anything. He was a senile, drooling figurehead. Obama, on the other hand, really failed badly in his third term. Everybody, including Democrats, hate him.
The economy is recovering despite Biden's ineptitude. At least three wars started on his watch and he was unable to have any influence in the region because he is viewed as weak and incapable. The border is a joke thanks to his policies. How many deaths in this country are known to be by illegals, let alone those by human trafficking and drugs brought in via his wide-open boarders? Inflation reached its highest point in 50 years under his administration.
My conclusion: you're either little more than a dishonest shill for the Biden administration or stupid. Take your pick.
Oh, Eugene! Are you one of the stupid ones, or just an evil liar? Maybe you’re both!
They appropriated money. They didn't actually do any of those things.

A few feathers short of a duster...
It wasn’t to me!
Maybe because of my weight but I got SICK AS HELL.
A six week nightmare where I was bedridden and at points couldn’t move mylegs...long stretches...head pain I never knew before...body pain i never knew before.
But for people who weren’t very overweight and didn’t have any other illnesses, it was not very bad.
90 billion dollars for broadband connectivity that did not connect a single person.
Elon Musk could connect the entire country with Starlink for 20 billion.
7.5 billion for electric vehicle charging stations. 8 have been built.
Obama leads a stupified Biden offstage hand in hand.
I hope Trump and DOGE find where the funds really went.
What color is the sky in this mn’s world?
AMAZING how many lies one person can write in one article.
I can’t even read that drivel. It hurts my brain.
Everytime I see his name, I remember the time he went on a fast to get something done about Haiti. Only thing, he fasted, supposedly, in New York City where all the white boys would be shamed into carrying out his will. He did not choose to do it in Haiti, where his black brothers would have gathered around with popcorn to watch him starve himself to death.
Put down the bong Eugene.
That drivel of revised history will soon be straightened out.
The Post lost $77 million over the last year, and had a 50% drop off in audience since 2020.
I think the only thing that can save them is publishing more articles by Eugene Robinson. 😁
Just reading the lead-in to this,it stunk to me.
Those drugs place him in an incredible alternate reality.
