He Went to Syria With Tulsi Gabbard. He Has Some Big Concerns.

Mouaz Moustafa says Gabbard’s response to Assad’s atrocities is a worrisome sign of how she’d serve as director of national intelligence.

As executive director of the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit established to respond to attacks on civilians by former dictator Bashar al-Assad, Mouaz Moustafa has shared crucial information with the U.S. government about the war in Syria. But he isn’t sure he’d continue doing so if Tulsi Gabbard is confirmed as Donald Trump’s director of national intelligence. And it wouldn’t surprise him if U.S. allies around the world followed suit.

“If Tulsi Gabbard is running our intelligence services, France, UK, Australia… if I was them, I wouldn’t share intelligence with us,” he said in an interview with POLITICO Magazine.

Moustafa has spoken with Gabbard or been in meetings with her several times, and he was struck by Gabbard’s lack of outrage at Assad’s atrocities. He has talked about some of those meetings before, but he discussed these encounters in more detail in the interview.

Ultimately, he came away increasingly concerned that her aims and worldview were at odds with the U.S. mission in Syria and U.S. foreign policy more broadly. Gabbard is among Trump’s most controversial nominees, drawing criticism from Democrats and some conservatives for commentary that often echoes propaganda pushed by U.S. adversaries like Russia.

Alexa Henning, a Trump transition spokesperson, rejected Moustafa’s charges. Henning said Gabbard has referred to Assad as a “brutal dictator” and noted that families of hostages held by terrorists in Syria had written a letter supporting her nomination.

“Lt. Col. Gabbard’s views have been shaped...

Funny — I thought the President-elect would be determining US foreign policy and appointing officials to carry it out. The person who wrote the comment above seems to think the President’s job is to obey whatever policy the Deep State prefers.

“””A big part of her logic, IMO, is the understanding that she never would’ve been elected in her home state espousing her core patriotic beliefs.
So, she played the politician when she had to, until finally just saying to hell with it.
I can both respect and forgive her for that, since she has company in both Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.”””

Reagan voted for 2 democrat presidents, FDR and Truman before becoming a campaigner for the Republican presidents, I was asking how Reagan fit into your post, what politics was he hiding to win office in California?

Deep Elements of U.S. Intel Start to Move Against Tulsi Gabbard

January 9, 2025 | Sundance

We knew something was coming when we saw the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) was essentially blaming Tulsi Gabbard for not submitting her question survey to the SSCI for the slow schedule for her confirmation, while at the same time the SSCI had never sent Gabbard the questionnaire for her to complete.

Now the SSCI slow-walking starts to make sense.

Politico is out with an articlea direct attack against Tulsi Gabbard using a very specific narrative engineer, Mouaz Moustafa. [SEE HERE] We know the backstory of Moustafa, so we know exactly what is happening.

Mouaz Moustafa is an operative on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood (political Islam).  Moustafa is in the sphere of influence where former Senator John McCain, Adam Kinzinger and CIA operative Evan McMullin worked.  Moustafa supports the elements of radical Islam represented by various factions of extremism that fall under the umbrella of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Essentially in alignment with Turkish President Recep Erdogan and playing the role of a friendly voice for western interests, Mouaz Moustafa is the bridge between the West and radical, albeit political, Islam.  Where the U.S. provides money and resources for groups of jihadists within al-Qaeda, al-Nusra, ISIS etc, is where you will find Moustafa under the auspices of the Syrian Emergency Task Force.

Mouaz Moustafa, far right of picture above (wearing keffiyeh)

Moustafa, Erdogan and the Muslim Brotherhood all hated Syrian leader Bashir Assad.  Everything from within the Obama administration was framed to remove Assad (favorable to the Muslim Brotherhood), including the prior U.S. support for radical elements of Islam, as delivered by the CIA and USAID.  Those Intel Community operatives are deeply embedded in the DC machine.

BOTTOM LINE – The Politico story tells us the U.S. Intelligence Community is strongly opposed to Tulsi Gabbard.

This should raise a red flag over Avril Haines, the current DNI. Why is the regime of a brutal dictator so happy with her?
