Meet Heather Shaner.
She is a DC Public Defender who has represented 43 J6 defendants who couldn’t afford real representation.
Shaner says it’s her job to “educate” J6ers, stating, “I mean, if you start out with a whole bunch of baloney and you don't know it's baloney, you're going to keep exercising your choices based on incorrect information”.
She has referred to people who went inside the building and took pictures as “schmucks”.
All of her J6 clients pled guilty.
When asked if her clients “deserve her”, she replied “They’re damn lucky if they get me,” with a laugh.
This is what J6ers have had to endure.

The one jury I sat on the defendant had one......it was a slam dunk guilty decision anyway but I could tell that public defender would probably couldn’t find his butt with both hands. 😏
She forced her clients to watch to watch movies and read literature informing them of how wrong their beliefs and opinions were. They then wrote letters to the court apologizing and stating how misinformed and uneducated they really were. America was built on stolen land and genocide was what she told school children when she spoke to classes. That’s what she believes and that’s what she wanted her clients to say to the court.
I don’t think you can get any more Soviet than that.

my problem isn’t with her. Rats are going to be rats. My problem is with all the conservative lawyers that wanted no part in helping the J6ers who were railroaded by the corrupt Biden administration. How much money do we give to the right wing podcasters that say they are MAGA then turn their backs on the real Maga people? After J6 I listened to them also call J6 an insurrection and people should have known it was illegal to enter the Capital. I call bull. When a guard opens the door and waves you in of course you think it is ok.
Not so much schmucks as they were doofs. Gullible. Naive. Lacking situational awareness.
That said, only people who touched a thing or a person should have been considered for a charge, and most of them misdemeanor.

Some of the Public Defenders really give a damn and are really good. Some of them are awful and wander.
Country club rules, perhaps for the wealthy Rs.
But I think it’s a belief in God, Country, Truth, and Justice. Conservatives believe there’s accountability ultimately and that truth and justice will prevail.
Communists know that “all power comes form the end of a gun barrel” and believe the game is rigged. Who counts the votes matters more than actual votes. Who controls the judges and the legal system. It’s all a rigged game. No fairness or anything other than brute power.
Not only were some escorted in by police, some never entered the building but were in a ‘protected zone.’
Of course, an actual insurrection would be thousands showing up with firearms and a gun battle in the street. Or - like we saw in the anti-police riots - burning and looting with complete destruction. All those rioters got a free pass, no charges, thanks for helping create chaos.
Glenn Beck was warning J6Rs to not go, because it was a trap. He saw it correctly for what it was.
One should have great confidence in a lawyer with blue hair.
I’ve read that not all the J6Rs jailed were even on Congress Hill when it happened.
Doing the job for the poor folk.....putting them in jail where weds belong. She ought work for planned parenthood.
Despite what we like to believe you’re actually guilty in our system and must prove yourself innocent.
How can I say that?
Being charged with a crime means the power of the entire government system is bearing down on you and you have to hire an attorney. Okay, so there goes thousands - tens of thousands - of dollars.
So I’m broke? Okay, welcome to blue hair public defender who works with the system to get you to plead guilty.
But I want to go to trial? Here’s your lawyer - and unless you’re OJ it won’t be a Dream team - up against a career prosecutor, FBI agents, witnesses, etc. etc. Easy win and - since you didn’t plead guilty and deal - now you get the big jail sentence. It’s federal time so you’ll do a high % of the sentence.
What does the bench look like in DC?
What do the 90% Dem voting juries look like?
It was a rigged game from day 1.
