Meet Heather Shaner.
She is a DC Public Defender who has represented 43 J6 defendants who couldn’t afford real representation.
Shaner says it’s her job to “educate” J6ers, stating, “I mean, if you start out with a whole bunch of baloney and you don't know it's baloney, you're going to keep exercising your choices based on incorrect information”.
She has referred to people who went inside the building and took pictures as “schmucks”.
All of her J6 clients pled guilty.
When asked if her clients “deserve her”, she replied “They’re damn lucky if they get me,” with a laugh.
This is what J6ers have had to endure.

She's clearly a Democrat.
Appeal - “ineffective counsel”
She IS CLEARLY EVIL!
She thinks some of those convicted for J6 offenses should get a pardon.
“But for schmucks who walked in and took pictures next to photographs of presidents and the statues in Statuary Hall and then walked out, I think it’s fine if they get a pardon.”
A DC public defender would be THE LAST person I would let represent me.......I don’t care HOW much it costed.
I doubt there are many Republican or neutral public defenders. Nobody’s lucky to get a Democrat operative except other Democrats.
Ya she literally just made the case to appeal anyone she represented. Massive violation of ethics and obvious ineffective assistance of counsel, clear violation of the Sixth Amendment.
I have seen fairer representation from appointed counsel at a Navy Chief Petty Officer initiation. There at least the appointed counsel generally the newly minted CPOs JO, got fined, personally, for bullsit defenses, and fined again for ineffective counsel.
Blue-haired lawyer.
She lied to them for quick convictions. They did not get their best defense from her.
That is how the system works for federal charges the ‘public defenders’ are paid by the government-taxpayers.
Powerful legal defense to federal charges piled on like this requires “million-dollar lawyers” ready to fight.
Federal prosecutors get 98 percent conviction rate because they pile charges on people forcing them to guilty plea deal or resort to expensive lawyers to fight back in a trial.
It’s punishment by process through and through.
Honestly ...why didn't WE raise defense funds for many of these people? The D's do that all the time for their folks and it works. Why do we just seemingly throw up our hands and 'let them fend & suffer.'
This is not an accusation/indictment, it is a question. We know how bad things are in our system right now, so who defends us against the system?
We’re gonna need a single word to describe liberal lawyers. “Crook” is a first try.
Even if they were ethical and were willing to fight to the last dollar for you, public defenders don’t have as much resources as the prosecutor, who can spend years building his case while the public defender will almost always be new to your file.
All Jan 6ers should not only receive pardons, as Pres. Trump has promised to do so, but also receive the Medel of Freedom award.
Remember Ashli Babbitt.
She is a disgrace to the legal profession.
Appeal - “ineffective counsel”

These are the poor defendants who should readily sue DoJ in Civil Courts.
GoFundMe(s) qshould be opened by FReepers for their lawyers.
But for winning the election, Trump himself would be going to prison.
He’d already been “convicted.”
They wanted him in prison, bankrupted, his family in jail as well.
Dems play to “win.” They have no fear of God and believe this life is all we have. So they have no conscience and (see Soviet Union and every other communist utopia) will imprison, torture, ‘re-educate’, and murder anyone who stands in their way.
Trump needs to clear out ALL of the letter agencies and DOJ and hire loyal Americans one at a time. Sessions had zero control of the DOJ.
All of these folks deserve a pardon - except the Antifa types that were there or the federal agents who should be charged in the fedsurrection conspiracy.
Sounds like something out of Saul, wheelin’ and dealin’ with the DA’s office in the hallways of the courthouse...
Getting bad guys off easy, letting others twist in the wind...
Probably oughta be disbarred, but another just like her would take her place, of course.
