I have a modest proposal.

The Master Drone (Italian: Il Pa-Drone), popularly referred to as God Emperor Trump, was a 65-foot (20-metre) papier-mâché sculpture and float depicting Donald Trump, the president of the United States at the time, dressed as the fictional God Emperor of Mankind from the Warhammer 40,000 miniature war game franchise. It was created by the Italian artist Fabrizio Galli for the Carnival of Viareggio in 2019.

When the float had its moment, it was supposed to mock Trump. The soundtrack for the float was a song Carolus Rex by hard rock/military history-focused band Sabaton.

It backfired….people loved it, and it became co-opted by Trump supporters.

Here’s the proposal: go to any rally or event held by a boycotting Dem, bring a smaller replica of the float, and crank Carolus Rex from a boom box in the audience.

I loved it. :) I’ve seen a few FReepers get very twisted out of shape over it though.

Can’t find a single animated gif of it anymore. I had two bookmarked and they’re gone from their servers. Did a search and found numerous still pics but if I add “gif” to the search there is zip. Not even the stills.

Let me add, apart from their intent or the way I received it, they did a fantastic job on that sculpture.

That animatronic sculpture/float was outstanding, and great choice of music.

Any idea what happened to it? It was built and presented in 2019 so if it was stored somewhere it's probably got some dust on it by now. I would love to see it pulled out of storage and used again.
