Vehicular Terror: Blueprint for Mayhem
American Thinker ^ | 2 Jan, 2025 | Joe Alton

In the early hours of the New Year, an American-born citizen with a black ISIS flag drove a truck down Bourbon St. in New Orleans, killing fifteen revelers and injuring about three dozen others. His name was Shamsud-Din Jabbar. The New Orleans attack followed hard upon another vehicular incident at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, which led to the deaths of at least five people while injuring 200 more.

Vehicular terror events are becoming more common throughout the world. In 2021, a driver rammed into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing at least five people and injuring 48 others. In 2016, a truck driver engineered the killing of 86 people and the wounding of 434 others in Nice, France during a fireworks display. Thirteen died and dozens more were injured at a Berlin Christmas market the same year.

The origin of the vehicular terror strategy is unclear, but some years ago, an English-language ISIS magazine called Rumiyah called for vehicle attacks on the West in an article called “Just Terror Tactics.” Al-Qaeda has made calls for similar attacks, calling trucks “the ultimate mowing machine.”

The article in Rumiyah said: “Though being an essential part of modern life, very few actually comprehend the deadly and destructive capability of the motor vehicle and its capacity of reaping large numbers of casualties if used in a premeditated manner… Vehicles are like knives, as they are extremely easy to acquire…”

Ordinarily, mass casualty terror events are associated with guns -- one was used by the driver in the New Orleans attack -- but firearms are difficult to come by in most countries. That doesn’t mean shooting incidents are completely unknown outside the U.S. You can own a gun in Germany, but must meet several strict requirements: You must be over 18 years

We should not forget that the participants in the New Orleans and Las Vegas attacks may not be the ones who orchestrated the attacks.

Democrats in Congress are already drafting “Common Sense” vehical control legislation.

Now, since BOTH vehicals were EVs, will EVs become the “new” AR-15 equivalent for vehicals???

We should not forget that the FBI cannot be left off the list of possible instigators. Remember this terror event ten years ago:

Senate Judiciary: What did the FBI Really Know before Terrorist Attack in Garland, Texas?

What did the FBI Really Know before Terrorist Attack in Garland, Texas?

WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley today is calling on the FBI to explain its advance knowledge and any plan to thwart a 2015 terrorist attack in Garland, Texas. Grassley’s questions follow recent media reports revealing that an undercover FBI agent was not only in communication with the terrorists weeks before the attack, but the agent was also at the scene taking pictures of the terrorists seconds before the shooting began. However, in 2015, FBI Director James Comey indicated that the Bureau was not aware of the perpetrator’s plans to travel to Garland or of any plans to carry out the attack.

According to news reports, an undercover FBI agent had been in communication over social media with one of the terrorists, Elton Simpson, in the weeks leading up to the terrorist attack. In one of the communications with the undercover agent, Simpson shared a link to information about the “Draw Prophet Muhamad Contest,” to which the agent replied, “Tear up Texas.” Simpson replied, “Bro, you don’t have to say that,” and “No need to be direct,” and referenced a terrorist attack in Paris. The day of the attack, the agent was in a car directly behind Simpson and his associate, Nadir Soofi, near a police checkpoint. The agent was taking photos of the terrorists just before the shooting began. A local police officer fatally shot both terrorists.

Despite the communications between the agent and Simpson, as well as court filings and news reports that reveal the agent was present at the scene during the attack, Comey told reporters in the days following the attack that the FBI had no reason to believe that Simpson intended to attack the event and was unaware of any plans to travel to Garland.

In a letter today to Comey, Grassley is seeking details on the circumstances surrounding the FBI’s investigation into Simpson, including when it became aware that the agent was traveling to Garland, whether it suspected Simpson of planning an attack and what plans were in place to intervene.

From Lara Logan's X account

Post 1:

I learned months ago from multiple US intel sources that the CIA was urging their “friends” in the Taliban/Haqqani terror network to use their sleeper cells inside the US for an attack that would be blamed on ISIS. So I am very skeptical - it is too easy to blame ISIS. They do it over & over to hide the fact that powerful people inside American intel agencies are in bed with this nation’s enemies.

Post 2:

I cannot say this strongly enough: I have been reporting on Afghanistan, the Middle East & Islamic terror groups since 2001 - so more than two decades at the very highest levels, winning almost every media award that exists.

I have seen one lie after another pushed by special interests & spies in the US & some truly terrible US leaders. So tired of it. I would urge you to think critically & question the given narratives.

The Biden admin has hidden the truth about the Islamic terror state of Afghanistan that they created - but they cannot hide it forever.

ISIS was a creation of the Pakistani intel services & I can tell you how: they recruited people who used to be their own enemies who had refuge inside Afghanistan known as the Pakistani Taliban. Pakistan was pissed - urged the US to bomb them - US complied & out of the ruins/survivors, Pakistan intel operatives recruited & trained ISIS K, who were now nursing a deep-rooted hatred for America.

This is how the game is really played - it is dirty, unprincipled & ruthless.

And they get away with it because of people in the US who advocate/lobby in DC & the general public does not know any better. They stack the media with idiots who print their propaganda, they plant govt offices with spies, double agents & liars who feed these lackeys in the media & they savage anyone smart enough to figure it out & call them out.

If the incoming admin has the moral courage to do the right thing, all of this will come out publicly.

Note that the Las Vegas Tesla truck bomb driver served at the same army base as the New Orleans truck driver. And the Tesla truck bomb was set off in front of Trump's hotel in Las Vegas.

Here it comes. “Ban privately owned vehicles!” <

Do not underestimate the utter stupidity of liberals. The Church of England’s solution to Muslim knife attacks is to ban pointy knives (not kidding).

https://reason.com/2019/10/07/the-u-k-must-ban-pointy-knives-says-church-of-england/

So why not ban privately owned vehicles too?

Islam is cancer.

Darrell Brooks pulled this evil stunt at a Christmas Parade in Waukesha Wisconsin a few years ago killing and injuring lots of people.

He ended up with a host of life sentences but he set the tone for mass murder by car. The idea of it is jihad friendly.

Brooks was nutty, crazy, but knew what he was doing.

calling trucks “the ultimate mowing machine

Not ICE trucks, but EV trucks. They are heavier, quiet thus more stealthy and super quick off the line.

In this case it will be ban services like Trubo (sp?) from private rentals of vehicles.

The statists can’t have any transactions occurring which are not logged, noted, and recorded by government.

I don’t see cars or gasoline ANYWHERE in the Second Amendment.

Or F-15’s. Darn it.

Muslims should not be allowed to rent cars. Or, drive cars. Or ride in cars in the US. Oh, hell, kick them all out. Stop kidding ourselves. Its not a religion, its a death cult.

Yes, it is likely that the victims did not hear the EV truck coming. No chance to get out of the way.

The "truck-as-mowing-machine" tactic was published in Al-Qaeda's "Inspire" magazine five years before ISIS began publishing "Rumiyah."

Qaeda's "Inspire" also provided instructions for the Boston Marathon bomber's pressure cooker bomb.

But it's doubtful any of these were original to Al-Qaeda. These any many more techniques were proposed and circulated among the many terrorist organizations that blossomed in the 1970s-1980s (Red Army Faction, Brigate Rosse, Black September, Irish Republican Army (IRA), Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA), Weather Underground, an alphabet soup of (faux-)Palestinian terrorist organizations, yadda, yadda, yadda).

Then there is the incident in Brownsville in 2023 related to the Tango Blast prison gang:

SUV driver plows into crowd outside a Texas migrant and homeless shelter - killing at least seven and injuring 11 others: Charged with reckless driving
Daily Mail UK ^ | May 7, 2023 | Melissa Koenig

At least seven people were killed and multiple left injured after a car struck a group of people outside a migrant shelter in Brownsville, Texas.

Police initially said they believed the driver of the Range Rover ‘intentionally’ plowed into pedestrians waiting at the bus stop outside the Ozanam Center at 8.20am on Sunday, but later clarified they are still investigating the incident.

The driver, who witnesses said was yelling insults at the group before accelerating towards the curb, is undergoing testing to see if he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the tragic crash....
