Jocelyn Wildenstein, the New York socialite nicknamed “The Catwoman,” has died. She was 84.

Her partner, Lloyd Klein, reportedly told AFP that Wildenstein died of a pulmonary embolism in a Parisian palace on Tuesday, per Daily Mail.

A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that blocks and stops blood flow to an artery in a lung, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The blood clot typically forms in a deep vein in a person’s leg and then travels to the lung. In rare cases, the clot can form in a vein in another part of the body.

Wildenstein, known for her catlike features and addiction to plastic surgery, first made headlines in the late ’90s when she divorced her wealthy art collector husband, Alec Wildenstein, after discovering him “in bed with a 19-year-old Russian model.”

Was she a good person or a bad person?

Thank you for thread. She always fascinated me - in a weird way.

I like cats
I try to take care of myself and have pride in appearance

Others take both to extremes

But also it is correctly said beauty is in eyes of beholder

...she divorced her wealthy art collector husband, Alec Wildenstein, after discovering him “in bed with a 19-year-old Russian model.”

We relationship counselors recommend against that sort of thing.

I’ve had two tiny PEs. They are painful and scary. That would not have been an easy passing.

Rest in Peace.

I agree. To mutilate yourself constantly betrays a deep unhappiness. I was shocked to see pre surgery photos of her when she was younger. She was absolutely gorgeous.

I am not trying to be mean to the lady, may she have peace.
She must have been extremely wealthy to afford all of that work. I think a lot of it was to try to fix previous results which may have been different than what she intended. Ultimately she failed to improve her looks. She was a caricature of a beautiful woman. Also a cautionary tale: if she had so much work done on her and ended up with those results, considering that what she started out with was probably pretty similar, imagine what a sex change would require and how the expected results could be so far from the desired and promised results.

They won’t need to embalm her.

If they cremate her, think of the chemical release.

She got 2.5 billion in a divorce settlement, and 100 million a year in support for 13 years. In 2018 she filed for bankruptcy, saying her only income was from Social Security.

Not a careful money manager.

I dont get it.

I’d be thrilled to look like I did at 20 but my face aged like everyone else’s :)

As long as all the young ones in my family look young, i’m good with it :)

My season passed lol
