How Elon Musk Became a Kingmaker (Fair, by Time Magazine)
Time Magazine ^ | November 21, 2024 7:00 AM EST | Simon Shuster

Hang on a minute. Whom did we just elect? The Republican ticket had two names at the top: Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. But parts of this delirious November created the impression that someone else has taken hold of our collective destiny.

We already knew him in various roles—the guy who bought Twitter and fired more than half its staff, the inventor who brought the space program back to life, the carmaker whose new trucks make kids stop and stare on the sidewalk. All of a sudden, Elon Musk had moved into the realm of politics, headlining rallies, steering government appointments, shaping the agenda for the next President of the United States.

For more than three years he’s been one of the world’s richest and most powerful men. Markets soar and tumble on his tweets. Astronauts fly in his spaceships. Armies advance with the signals from his satellites. Conspiracy theories go mainstream through his embrace. But it was only in the spotlight of these elections that the full extent of his influence came into view.

Not since the age of William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper magnate who greased FDR’s ascent nearly a century ago, has a private citizen loomed so large over so many facets of American life at once, pulling the nation’s culture, its media, its economy, and now its politics into the force field of his will. Standing beside him, even Trump can seem almost in awe, less of a boss than a companion to the man for whom this planet and its challenges are not big

He is not a king maker. The Alt Left will try to create any fake narrative to avoid admitting the truth. Team Trump kicked the Democrat Party, and it subsidiary the Establishment Media’s, ass.

This is a fair treatment of Elon Musk.
This whole article is worth reading, or at least fast-forwarding though. If you want to understand the Trump-Elon phenomena. How Elon helped get Trump elected.

FR cynics, have at it on the final day of 2024.

How does a Kingmaker stay kingmaker when he tells two thirds of his subjects to GF themselves in the face and threaten them with war. How does the King stay King when he supports that kingmaker?

It’s pretty obvious Elon has become the target for The Deep State/MSM. They hate the fact that we have our own Soros. He also dared to take on the Tranny fascists. They think the H1 misstep is the weapon they need to drive the wedge so they won’t let it die.

Nope, it just happens to validate your personal opinion about Musk. It actually a ridiculous narrative based on creating a delusion for those suffering from TDS that anyone but Trump created this win.

You suffer from the delusion that your personal political hobby horse matters to the 10s of millions of people that elected Trump.

It doesn’t. Sorry the truth hurts your feelings

Musk did not get involved in the Trump campaign until July 14th 2024. To claim he is a “kingmaker” when Trump handily won the GOP Primary without him is irrational at best.

Scott Presler had FAR more to do with Trump winning than Elon ever did.

“This is a fair treatment of Elon Musk.”

It is not a terrible hit piece. However, it has a near complete disconect from reality, by what it assumes as real, but which is not correct.

It is telling the author uses the term “permission structure, a key component of the Obama totalitarian censorship regime.

The article assumes the administrative state is benevolent.

The author ignores the attacks on Elon Musk because he violated the Obama/Biden/Harris narrative and purchased Twitter. The author denigrates the value of free speech.

The author ignores the existential threat of US bankruptcy.

The author makes the case with a quote from Musk’s son, validating Wokism as legitimate.

From these remarks, the article is shown to be by a person who still sees censorship and totalitarian control of the narrative as good things.

Winning the primaries is not equal to winning the presidency.
You know that.

You know trying to deny that Musk was a late arrival to a winning Trump campaign is total ignorance right?

Just man up and admit that Trump won by putting together a stellar team, picking a very political smart VP choice and putting in the work to win. Just stop clinging to your TDS and trying to inflate Musk to being more then he is.

Biden regime made Musk a political target, so he decided to back Trump to get payback. It is really just that simple. Musk is a bandwagon follower that hopped on the Trump train when it suited his interests. He works for Trump, not vice versa.
