For the last week the only thing anyone on Twitter – and, by extension, the rest of the Internet – has been talking about is the H1B visa.
The fun started when Sriram Krishnan, brought on by the incoming Trump administration as an Artificial Intelligence policy advisor, mused about lifting country caps on the widely reviled H1B visa. This elicited enthusiastic support from a chorus of tech CEOs, who insisted that there is a severe shortage of skilled engineers in the United States and, presumably, the West more generally, which can only be met by poaching the ‘best and brightest’ of the world’s ‘elite human capital’ and importing it by the imperial ton.
Predictably – predictable to anyone who’s been paying attention, which apparently does not include tech CEOs – the tech bros running with this sentiment slammed face-first into a hard granite wall of No!
… It turns out, for example, that despite being capped at around 85,000 per year, the Biden administration was routinely bringing in ten times this number...
Economics and legality are distractions, chaff thrown up by one side or the other to keep attention away from the primal psychological forces that are actually at work:
The territory of one people being given to others.
In particular, the white peoples of the world being displaced and disinherited, as their lands, their institutions, and their infrastructure are taken from them lot by lot and job by job by colonizers from the global south.
That is, in the end, what it comes down to.

Immigration attorneys tend to be too conservative about who they will let apply for one. There could probably be more, but the attorneys don't believe they would pass. Still, it's not a huge number, because how many people have these top prizes. They also have unrestricted travel.
I assume they set this up, because they believe people like that will be an asset to a nation, but I don't know the history.
How come you don't know about L1s? Maybe the government doesn't want you to.
Money talks and I think the overriding reason for H1-Bs is to reduce salary & benefits.
The article says that the H-1B’s are capped at 85,000 a year but Biden has been bringing in ten times that amount per year of the H-1B colonizers. They in turn bring over their “spouses” on H-4 visas and them to create anchor babies. They also bring over extended family through chain migration. This scam has been going on now for over 20 years and its reached a crisis level. They are taking the tech jobs and are now in positions of power to hire and discriminate against white pople. They do not share opur culture or values as Americans and are more pernicious as a whole to our country than the Southern border crossers but many are being duped by the left to believe its no big deal.
What are H-1B colonizers?
There are 75 million illegals in the country mostly from South of the border. They are given carte blanche to government programs and services. They can’t commit crimes and mostly get away with them. They can vote, even if it’s illegal. You don’t think that’s pernicious.
Foreign workers that come over here under H-1B “temporary” status but never leave. There are millions of them here.
I would like numbers on exactly how many.
I knew of one worker who quite the job he had. You have about a week maybe to transfer, so since he quit, he had to go back to Kazakhstan. That means he lost his H-1B completely.
I remember getting calls about others who had been layed off and were freaking out, because they had to return to their home country.
It is but we are supposedly going to deport many of them if Trump keeps his promise. We however, need to revise our legal immigration policies as they present just as much a danger to our nation’s survival as the illegals.
The man who attacked Paul Pelosi was an illegal immigrant, he had no H-1B or anything. He’s got life in jail. An illegal immigrant killed just an average young woman in San Francisco, and was free to go.
How are we going to deport them? The Republicans are horrible at follow thru. And tens of millions of voters will abandon the party if something is not done.
Actually I don’t but I am going by what thew article states and its based on personal experience of what I see in my city.
I thought that's what I was voting for when I voted for President Trump.
this all seems to center around AI but who has real world experience with AI? To do the latest cutting edge stuff you need to be at a major corporation with multi-million dollar hardware at your disposal.
Now how many foreign workers have that kind of experience where the are coming from? Damn few of them.
End H1-B visa program. Period.
