Salvation Army Angel Tree Drama: These People Are Not Grateful In today’s video we’ll be discussing how some parents are not grateful for the gift given to their kids for Christmas by Salvation Army Angel tree
FReepers youtube and tic tok is blowing up over this. Some who received items from the Salvation Army's Angel Tree were quite ungrateful and posted about it. They have since deleted their video over bad comments but everyone saved them. People are upset, as they should be over this. Now not all were going on tic tok and saying their "Christmas was ruined" but enough has done this to have hundreds of videos made.

It was my sloppiness. My apologies.
Good ole Bones McCoy.
Always thought he was OK.
Chicago Cops have reported for many years that the “Toys for Tots” are sold by the boyfriends the day after Christmas.
“I ain’t gotta look like no Beyonce;...I just gotta look better dan dat ho, over there.”
“...the parents were disappointed that the kids didn’t get expensive gifts.”
Once you get hooked on being “given” things, your wants/needs/demands increase and will always outrun your “gets”. You will always be given enough to keep you hooked, but never enough to be satisfied.
A lot of the good that Christians and good people do is for the parts of a society that has a large percentage of dysfunctional people and people with problems that are part of their nature, a lot of giving and helping the people who need that help means you often have to just do what you do, and do it because you want to do it, not because you are looking for recognition or praise.
Just live for the hope that in the long run some positive good will come from it, something that you will rarely get to see yourself but which is part of the little ripples into the future that Christians try make during their lives.
No worries. It was my wording that confused you. Check out the Gary Sinise (actor) Foundation sometime. Besides helping with prosthesis and other needs for Vets and wounded warriors, his Foundation actually renovates homes for those who can't even reach the kitchen sink, and then deed those homes to the disabled Vets. Unbelievable.
Plus, Sinise spends much time visiting the troops with his own shows, much like the USO. He is the biggest Patriot in Hollywood. He is the Bob Hope of our day.
I’ve seen them set up at a corner and reach into their coat, pull out a roll of cardboard signs, and pick the one they want to use. Many will have a little 4:20 reference on them, letting you know that weed would be an acceptable offer. Some of my favorites: “Why lie? I just want a beer,” and “I’ll bet you can’t hit this sign with a quarter.”
As husband and I have aged, the size of our animals have gone down from Irish Wolfhounds to Bichons. I fear that when we lose this set, we’re also going to have to choose older animals. If I could hide them from husband and the town, I’d fill the house with rescues in every room. As it is, I fill the storage box with 20 lb of peanuts per week and feed the outdoor animals from the library window.

I’m already one of his big fans. One of the greats for his heart alone, much less his great acting.
Good for you.
[Beggers at the traffic lights]
Most are drug addicts or in sex trafficking. Recently I am seeing Muslim women selling flowers.
They want the money. There are organizations that provide shelter, clothes, and food for the needy.
They value getting their nails and hair did. Plus those expensive eyelashes. Yet they don’t have the money for toys for their kids.

Don’t forget the latest iPhones and tattoos.
Worked with a lot of poor folks in healthcare and church organizations
church had a non food pantry . Was wiped out by the impoverished ???? taking stock to resell or just throw out
Saw that the psych patients in hospitals were not grateful at all for all the things the staff did for them particularly at the holidays. Like knit hats and shop for gifts.
These people have been given so much that they are nothing but entitled.
So I stopped.
when i do donate i mark out the price w/ a magic marker to make it more difficult for the “return for cash” bs.
I donate to Furball Farm. They have a youtube channel also.

[There certainly are very few bell ringers these days. I didn’t see one in Phoenix this year]
It appears the Salvation Army has gone virtual with year round ‘kettles’ for donations.
I usually read their wish list on the tag and if they ask for insane things I don’t take it.
I rang bells with my best friend for about five years. Sometime in VERY cold windy TN weather. But we had a good time together whatever we did. She died with cancer about the same time the SHTF with the SA.
one of our beggars shirts sez “ I Don’t Wanna Work” at least he’s honest.
