You either love bacon or you’re wrong.

$$ spent on bacon are deceiving. ###’s consumed would be more interesting to me. Price varies from region to region, sometimes by a great deal.

At $53.36 annually, I must be the only person in Alabama buying bacon. I can spend that much monthly. Those numbers are bogus.

1.1 gram of saturated fat (that's the not-so-good fat). If you're trying to watch what you eat, limit your portion size or substitute pork bacon for turkey or chicken bacon
The lie lives on. Oh well, more real bacon for me in the meantime. And by the way, soft for sure.

Most people know about the growing surfeit of wild hogs in the US. But few people know that there is only one wild hog abattoir that both slaughters and processes the meat.
If the USDA and FDA are unwilling to allow further production in the US, then perhaps we can make a deal with Mexico. That is, they can set up enormous stockyards, then after inspections of both the live animals and their meat, such stockyards can drastically cut the cost of pork in that country.
Basically a win-win.

LOL, never understood the appeal of bacon - far too salty for me - but family LOVES it and asks for it constantly. Hard to get the smell out of the house after cooking...
