Finally, a day I can really get behind.

Maple flavored bacon on anything. YES!

My Sister gifted us with a full pound of Nueske's Bacon for Christmas. Best stuff on the PLANET!

I almost always have cooked bacon strips on hand, so this would be a great treat for our brunch one morning and it could all go in at the same time. Thanks!

Add a slice of Mom’s Red Onion and Pecan (homemade) bread and it’s a winner all the way around!

I take leftover ham from parties and potluck if available. My dogs love it! Ravingly so.

Bacon? Has been reassigned to to the fats category. No fooling. No problemo, I always preferred the Canadian style.

Most people know about the growing surfeit of wild hogs in the US. But few people know that there is only one wild hog abattoir that both slaughters and processes the meat.

If the USDA and FDA are unwilling to allow further production in the US, then perhaps we can make a deal with Mexico. That is, they can set up enormous stockyards, then after inspections of both the live animals and their meat, such stockyards can drastically cut the cost of pork in that country.

Basically a win-win.

Twisted Bacon
TikTok-inspired recipe took the internet by storm. Twisted shape
makes it soft and crispy; make pounds of bacon and store for later use.

Ing 2 pounds bacon baking sheet foil-lined

Steps Twist bacon tightly. Place close together on baking sheet so they don’t unravel.
Cook 400 deg 20 min in hot oven. Flip and cook 10-15 min to desired crispiness.
Fridge or freeze for later use.

LOL, never understood the appeal of bacon - far too salty for me - but family LOVES it and asks for it constantly. Hard to get the smell out of the house after cooking...

My daughter is a bacon fiend. When they lived in Istanbul, we would pack our suitcase with the precooked bacon. Surprised they didn’t find it.
