Keanu Reeves’ stolen Rolex has been found — in Chile.
The $9,000 Rolex Submariner, engraved with Reeves’ name, turned up in a police raid on four houses in Santiago. The timepiece is believed to have been stolen from Reeves’ Hollywood Hills home in December 2023. Two other watches belonging to Reeves, described by police as valuable, were also found in a sweep linked to a series of local robberies, according to CNN.
A 21-year-old man was arrested.
Reeves, perhaps most famous for his starring role in the “John Wick” movie series, had engraved the Rolex watch with his first name and the words “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.”
The first “John Wick” begins with Reeves’ former hit man character seeking revenge after his house is broken into and robbed, and his dog killed.
According to CNN, Reeves reportedly gifted Rolex Submariners to the stuntmen he worked with on “John Wick: Chapter 4.”
Reeves’ house is no
stranger to break-ins. Last December, police were called to the property on Thrasher Avenue after a reported burglary. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that burglars “entered the property through the backyard and broke a window to gain access.” Reeves was not home at the time.
Reeves’ home was the scene of back-to-back break-ins in 2014. In one case, Reeves confronted an intruder in his library, while cleaners found the other days later in his pool.
Early last year, Reeves filed for a temporary restraining order against a man who allegedly trespassed on the actor’s property at least six times between November 2022 and January 2023. In one case, the alleged stalker left behind a backpack containing a DNA testing kit, which he had intended to use on Reeves to show they were somehow related, according to the application for the order.

I never wear jewelry of any form. I was gifted a Timex back in 1975. It’s in the attic somewhere.

Keanu, you better keep watch on who’s watching your watches!

Word gets around what’s at your house. Use that house as a decoy or place for get togethers. Keep nothing of great value there. High security personnel, pics, videos, when using the house, or not there ,etc. Then live in a decent house in a clean, low crime neighborhood. Under an assumed name.

I have one I purchased in the Ship’s Store aboard the USS JFK back in 1978. It is a stainless steel Oysterdate Precision, and it cost me $150.
I am still wearing it today. I have had It serviced four times the first time was $600 back in in the early 2000’s, but since then, I found a guy who does excellent work by mail out of Pennsylvania and specializes in Rolexes.
He was recommended to me by a guy I know who collects watches, and I would vouch for this man’s work and customer service! Anyone who wants the info can Freepmail me.
I love my vintage Rolex. I don’t wear it in the water anymore, but...along with my wedding ring and right-hand ring, those constitute my valued “man jewelry”!

Time to remove Chile from the visa exempt list. Too many bad actors from there taking advantage.

But you could lose your life. If you meet the wrong guy or seductive ladies...If you own a real Rolex, you should also own a fake one.
The crazy thing is, fake Rolex watches run the gamut from cheap Chinese garbage to excellent timepieces with Swiss ETA movements that are basically Tags with Rolex faceplates.

There are very well made beautiful pieces on engineering.
But not worth the risk of harm coming to you..BUT, if you could put some RDX in a fake Rolex and let some dummy steal it,,, then Kaboom. Or have a reservoir of carfentilil in the watchband and can control the release of carfentilil....now that would be fun.

Back in the 90s I was sitting at a bar in the Atlanta airport chatting with the guy to my right. He liked resting his chin in the palm of his hand. He had his elbow on the bar. The Rolex on his wrist was impossible to miss. Turned out he’d been on a cruise and had bought the watch in St Thomas.
I noticed it was ticking the seconds off one-by-one. I didn’t say a thing.

I haven’t worn a watch in about 20 years.
The most expensive one I had was maybe 100 dollars.

BUT, if you could put some RDX in a fake Rolex and let some dummy steal itI dunno if we're quite there yet.
Anyhow, I bought a fake Datejust for $60 (I overpaid) from a dude on a bicycle in Dubai who had a bunch of them in a trash bag. It was even an automatic and the second hand didn't skip!
It worked great for about two years and then it died.
I still have the oyster band. I put it on a Casio Duro (best dive watch you can but for under a thousand bucks and Casio continues to sell them for about $50).
