Will it cost him? If I was a GM-automatic show-stopper. Like the rest he's playing for his 2nd NFL contract.

Sounds like Biden on his way out.

They win if he plays the second half. He showed himself to be a selfish bum.

Injuries are too common. They can cost the athletes millions as well as careers. Think Jake Butt, Michigan TE who tore up a knee in a bowl game. It’s the millions that are waiting for them that they have to protect.

I’m surprised he didn’t get injured in the locker by his own players.

The NCAA has absolutely ruined college football.

I was always in favor of allowing a player to transfer without losing eligibility, but the teams now get to bid on them and their services.

I also thought that the NFL should have sponsored college football which would gave paid these kids a few hundred bucks a week and would’ve quieted the pay for play argument. But the NCAA was the real greedy party making billions off these young men and now it’s biting them hard in the ass.

As an NFL GM, I would be more impressed with a draft prospect who chose to be on the field battling alongside his teammates in a bowl game. Such a decision by the young man would also display his loyalty to the school fanbase.

All college football teams should be considered for-profit organizations and not part of a non-profit organization. If the feds can require bingo games at the KOC or the VFW to pay taxes, college football should have to do the same.

Will it cost him?

No. GMs and players are mercenaries. They don't think like you and me. This action will cost him nothing and it will not decrease his value in the eyes of NFL teams.

The one saving grace of the NFL compared to colleges is that the players are on contracts. In college, no one holds any of the players accountable for their decisions and, if they do, the players become unrestricted free agents via the portal.

College sports are destroyed.

This player will suffer no consequences for his actions.

Compare this guy to Joe Montana and the chicken soup game (I was in attendance and it was cold), who only played the second half to help Notre Dame win.

The STUPID coach seems to thing lolly coddling man-children is a profession like doctoring or lawyering.

He said the half time conversation between he and the QUITTER were privileged.

But he then when out of his way to praise the guy who had just QUIT on his team.

They say there is “honor” among thieves which of course is Satan talking.

There must be the same kind of “honor” among the millionaires in the minor leagues of the NFL known as college football.

The coach is paid millions to find these “players” and put them in his program to WIN games and satisfy the alumni fat cats who pay his hefty salary.

And the players thanks to NIL (which I do not begrudge because they are truly slave labor in a professional sport if they don’t get a share of the zillion dollars exchanging hands between media and the colleges), can make millions as well.

I’ve been ranting lately on the woke rotten system of public education in country.

In doing so I have neglecting ragging on an even MORE rotten woke system of higher education where the kidnapping, raping, and murdering of innocents on October 7, 2023 is not only openly allowed but encouraged.

Running a professional feeder league for the NFL and calling it college football as if it resembles the truly amateur college football my grandfather participated in circa 1900 is such a sham.

But the sheeple are not particular as to what they flock to.

College football is being ruined. It’s no longer about the team and representing the University.

There is some disagreement as to the actual arrangement. Some are saying Cam didn’t want to play but then decided to play a half - which was ok with UM. Then there is the thought Mario wanted to play the other guy at least a half.

I’m not sure if this is all on Cam.

I was at that joke of a game. NO defense by either team. We didn’t know why Ward was out until I looked it up. Fing guy standing on the sidelines grinning was insulting.
