Ms. Davis is the author of “Dear Mom and Dad: A Letter About Family, Memory and the America We Once Knew.” Her father was President Ronald Reagan.
We are now in the final weeks of Joe Biden’s presidency, and I’ve been thinking about the year he had — how different it was from what he hoped last winter as he sought re-election. All presidents think about what they wanted to achieve, in the end, and how Americans will regard them. For some of us, our most vivid memory right now of Mr. Biden is from his televised debate against Donald Trump in June. I’m sure that’s not the moment Mr. Biden wants to be remembered for. But I also know that presidents come to be remembered differently, over time, for better or for worse. Their highs and lows in office, once so clearly and sharply defined, can shift in our perception. I see Mr. Biden differently now from how I did last summer, and I see his last year in office as a window into the messiness of being human.
Like most people who watched the June debate, I was shocked that night at how frail and vague Mr. Biden was. He didn’t seem present. The statements from his aides afterward were what you’d expect — he had a bad night, he was tired from traveling, he was sick. Shortly afterward the president gave a speech in North Carolina and was energetic and focused; “fiery” was how news outlets described him. But the condemnation was already taking shape, from both Republicans and Democrats: America has been deceived; the administration has been lying to us; it’s been a shadow presidency, a cover-up. The fury only grew when Mr. Biden insisted that he was still running for president and was perfectly capable of...

They figured it out pretty well...
“By the time they figure out what we did our scapegoat Biden will be too mentally incompetent to stand trial.”
Exactly. The aides and officers around him had a moral, ethical, and in some cases, constitutional duty to notify Congress that Biden was not discharging his duties as president.
The reason? Crass self-interest. Nothing more.
I can still see the deer-in-the-headlights look on FJB’s face when Clarence called him and his committee the equivalent of a high-tech lynch mob.
The hearing ended shortly thereafter.
And let’s not forget arrogant know-nothing Joe Biden trying to berate Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in 1982. Classic Joe.
This an exception to the general rule, of course, and the Trumps and the Bidens did not accede to the exception.
If consistency is a virtue, it must be Joe’s only one. He’s the same lowlife now as he’s always been.
Obviously.
“...the June debate...”
The point at which the whole myth regarding the competence of Joe Biden began to unravel for vast numbers of US citizen voters.
There Joe was, thrust out into the light, and the media could not spin the stark reality away. The Emperor truly was wearing no clothes.
It’s not Biden’s fault... It’s the fault of a corrupt Democrat party who managed to manufacture 8 million ghost voters to get Joe elected. Without those ghost votes he would never have been President.

Yes, achingly human includes introducing your son to the Communist leader of China who will help strengthen their Belt and Road initiative, undermining American national security, compromising the office of the Presidency and make millions for the family in the process.
Achingly human
Nothing says “achingly human” like banging your 13-year-old daughter in the shower...
—— I’ve heard about the showering together, but did she actually accuse him of rape?
NANCY REAGAN RAISED TWO HORRIBLE KIDS.......MAUREEN AND MICHAEL ARE GEMS!
Only the most gullible would give Biden the benefit of the doubt. He is a selfish, nasty, callous, corrupt, defective unit. Damn the Democrats for foisting him on America.
My offshore bank accountS were “aching” for massive infusions of $$$$$.
No - but she was 13 in 1994.
Pedo Joe Biden was 52 years old in 1994, in the prime of his perpetually priapic life.
I'm just connecting the dots that Bidung's Gaslight Media refuses to connect - or even acknowledge.
This is sad. Ms. Reagan or Davis or whatever, millions of Americans lined the roads to pay their last respects to your father as he was going home for the last time. How many do you think will turn out for your friend Biden?
