War takes its toll. Remember this armchair generals (neocons and Zeepers...)
The ultra-orthodox disgust me. They avoid conscription as if they are somehow above those who serve. Serving in non combat positions would still help Israelis that do their duty.

‘war-weariness’???
The Israeli’s have been at war with these squatters since the end of World War 2... They will never give up, never give in and never surrender to these anti-Zionist pigs.
The leaders of these highly structured communities realize they lose control if young people serve in the military. Usually these structured communities such as the polygamous Mormom compounds, the Amish, the ultra Orthodox in NY generally have a loss rate of 2-5% despite the strong emotional bonds on these young men. Often military recruiters are there for them and many become excellent soldiers and the military becomes their conduit into mainstram life.
As a strong Israel supporter, I support a rest, relax and rearm period for the IDF. The pace and intensity of deployments is wearing out the nation.
“...It’s not just taken the lives of thousands of civilians in Gaza and Lebanon....”.
Stopped reading BBC garbage right there.

If they fight, they might die. If they cease fighting, they will die.
