Just wondering if any of my fellow FR friends are, like me, enjoying a solo Christmas Eve. I have all the presents wrapped, Christmas music in the background and will spend the evening with my faithful greyhound, Ralphie Parker and then George Bailey -- the same routine every year.
Any of you folks solo this evening?

Thank you all...your posts are very humbling to me this Christmas.
In my house we are very far from alone—we have 5 young kids, there was a big party with my family on Christmas Eve and we’re having my wife’s family over today, but as an introvert who longs for peace and quiet it can be tempting to wish for very different circumstances.
I’m reading all of your words with a deeper understanding of what the alternative is. Someday in the future, all these people around me may be passed away or far across the country and I will probably be alone as well.
May God bless you all, and may those of you who feel alone be filled with His Love. In Christ we are together in spirit.

Keep your chin up brother. God, Jesus and your fellow Freepers love you. I made some minor mistakes too, like not killing my first born at the very beginning. lolol. Just a joke, but the world did turn him into a hateful cuss. Not my fault, some just go that way. Jesus is THE answer to ALL of the world’s ills.

I was an “only” kid, but more mature for my and than most other kids (the exact opposite, at my age of 60 now 😜), so I brought my concerns and logic to my attorney father, who didn’t want to say one way or the other. I think he didn’t want to lose his role as Santa.
