The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogr)am).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

There seems to be the word “The” tagged onto the end of the cryptogram. I’m assuming that none of that is part of the puzzle (Only one “T” on the end?

I have no idea how that mysterious “The” got added to the end. I know I was in a huge hurry to do the post. It was not in my prepared quote that I copy pasted into the post. But, YIKES, there it is! And I can’t even blame it on spellcheck.
Note to self: no matter how hurried I am….. take time to carefully read the preview before clicking “post”. Maybe this will be my New Year’s resolution.

I like to test the encryption by posting it to https://quipqiup.com/ Even then I more than just occasionally mess up because of poor proofreading habits, which is why I like to prepare cryptograms and solutions a day in advance.
