Ultimately, the bell tolls for everyone, and it may now be tolling for the suavest man ever to hit the big screen. That’s right: we may have seen the last of Agent 007. The James Bond series is currently tangled up in red tape that woke executives have spooled out, and the dashing, unflappable, impeccably dressed, outrageously smooth special agent may finally have reached the end of the line. As we prepare to attend his wake and say some word of sympathy to Miss Moneypenny, however, the real question is this: how has he lasted this long?
Fox News reported Saturday that “the next installment in the ‘James Bond’ franchise is still in development limbo due to a rift between the series' main producer and its new owners, Amazon.” It seems that “longtime Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and Amazon — which bought MGM studios in 2021 — are in an ‘ugly stalemate’ over decisions about the future of the franchise.” If you suspect that this “ugly stalemate” has to be over whether this dashing, upper-crust, womanizing agent for the forces of good is going to be turned into a woke shadow of his former self, you’re right on the money.
During a recent meeting to discuss Bond’s fate, one Amazon executive laid it on the line, saying: "I have to be honest, I don't think James Bond is a hero." Of course. How could he be? Think about all the ways in which Bond is not a hero from the standpoint of a grim, humorless, doctrinaire leftist. Bond, in all his incarnations from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig, has been white. And that’s just the beginning of his sins.
He is most decidedly not gay. He doesn’t believe in body positivity. He is not trans: for all his interest in

Maybe have him get in a time machine into a post apocalyptic society of our future. No sex change docs, no gender confusion, no social safety net....everyone killing themselves to survive and trying to raise their own children(personal social security)...he goes after the baddies who feed on life’s sacred fire...no gadgets...just toughness and ingenuity....I nominate a younger Tom Homan instead of the current beta males of Hollywood.
P.S....how is it that with all his very loose women, he never got VD? Or got one of the ladies pregnant. Or attacked by a simple jealous as hell boyfriend of his conquest? After all his years of luck, the stories just became weird unreal fantasies.
Wait, wasn’t he drinking hot chocolate in his pajamas a little while back?
…But more than anything, I think it’s a waster of time to continually re-invent the character. They should just put Bond on hiatus and introduce whatever pale imitation they want to replace him with under a different double-naught number.
best Bond line ever !
Prequel Bonds would be pretty cool, IMO. Good idea!
Sure that was the first?
wasn’t there one, or more, before Connery?
RE: I would rather 007 die than become some woke gay trans can’t-figure-out-his-own-gender non-biologist pajama boy.
Your wish has already been granted.
James Bond died at the end of “No Time To Die” (2021), which was Daniel Craig’s final film as 007. In the climactic ending, Bond sacrifices himself on Safin’s island facility to ensure the destruction of the nanobots weapon and to save Madeleine and his daughter Mathilde.
He is struck by missiles while on the island, choosing to remain there to keep the nanobots from potentially spreading and to protect his loved ones, as he had been infected with a strain that would have made him lethal to them if he survived. It was the first time in the official James Bond film series that the character has died.
Unless of course, someone wants to reboot the series...
RE: Sure that was the first?
A live 1954 television adaptation of the 1953 novel Casino Royale. An episode of the American dramatic anthology series Climax!, the show was the first screen adaptation of a James Bond novel, and stars Barry Nelson, Peter Lorre, and Linda Christian.
You’re welcome.

Actually, Ian Fleming tried to kill off Bond numerous times in the original books. But he always came back. While everyone seems to interpret ‘No Time To Die’ as the death of 007, Hollywood is infamous for coming up with resurrection sequels. Or they could reboot. Either way, if it’s as good as the Daniel Craig series was, I would be a fan.
I read that she was OK with Bond being gay or a different race. That doesn’t sound like she gets it either.
If Bond is Gay, Bond is dead.
Death is a strong ending to a brilliant series of Novels and Movies. So it was!
But, when the owners of the “Bond, 007,” package enter the LGBT+, shithole, they commit suicide.
Shame on them for being WOKE!
I’d pay to see Bond take on some wokesters, that are patterened after the first appearance of the Ferengi on Star Trek.
YOLT - best film and best opening song of the franchise - also Connery’s favorite one to do. He loved being in Japan for the shoot- the whiskey- the women- the card games -
Doesn’t anyone else remember the movie where they reassigned the designation “007” to a short haired black woman?
007 as a woman has already been done. I knew I wasn’t imagining it.
Hell, I was sickened already when they had Bond make out with somebody’s Grandma and hint he’d had gay sex. I can’t imagine what the Wokeratti would like to do with Bond next. Lemme guess....Bond will be a Black, Transgendered, Muslim (yes I know, but they’re just that stupid and contradictory) character who fights White Supremacists for their diabolical plot to emit too much carbon thus making it impossible to save da Erf!
I recently read that the James Bond character is loosely based on the actor Christopher Lee’s military career. I think Fleming and Lee were cousins or at least related. I found it interesting as I had never seen that anywhere before...assuming it’s true. You never know these days. Skyfall is my favorite.
I first heard of Bond when I read Dr.No in a comic book when I was 15 in 1964. Then I saw the movie. Then Goldfinger was released, and it was huge. We spent many boring classes daydreaming about driving an Aston Martin, and sleeping with Pussy Galore.
We read all the books. Btw, in the books, Bond’s car was a classic Morgan, if my memory is correct.
Connery was the only acceptable Bond. Others were pale in comparison. Kudos to Barbara Broccoli for not succumbing to the woke virus.
