I knew he was developing dementia before the 2020 election. Anyone who has been close to dementia patients knows that look. It’s hard to describe, but even in the earliest stages, they have that look. And he had it.
The 25th Amendment is pretty stupid. The intent is fine. Someone like Biden ought to be removed, and the 25th does provide a way to do that. But the people around the president (such as Jill) may not want to leave. So they cover for the president and just refuse to invoke the 25th (why would they want to use it??). I’m sure it has some utility, but it is hardly a magic fix. And I’ll note that if the 25th had been in place in 1919 when Woodrow Wilson was incapacitated, I’m pretty sure that his wife Edith, and his cabinet would have said that he was “sharp as a tack” and he would have served out his full term (which is what he did when there was no 25th Amendment). So the thing is a little silly.

“12-24 months,” BULL! He was dropping out of sentences and shaking hands with imaginary people even before the 2020 election.
