California man mauled to death by his own 3 dogs in front of horrified onlookers at playground: ‘Like XL bullies, just massive muscle’

A California man was mauled to death by his own dogs on a San Diego playground Friday when the three beasts refused to let off their owner despite bystanders’ desperate efforts.

Calls started coming into San Diego police around noon Friday reporting a dog attack at the Mesa Viking Neighborhood Park, and when police arrived they found three “XL bullies” sinking their teeth into the defenseless man, according to KTLA.

The attack was so vicious one witness thought police were trying to apprehend a violent criminal.

“I just saw they had something trapped in the weeds over here. I thought it was a person at first because they were talking about setting up a perimeter,” said park neighbor Steve Marto.

“They were big, like XL bullies, just massive muscle,” he said.

As the dogs kept attacking, bystanders tried to help by whacking the canines with shovels and a golf club.

Eventually, the cops were forced to shoot the animals with tasers. Two of the dogs were subdued and caught, but a third escaped into the surrounding neighborhood.

That prompted the nearby Ericson Elementary School to go into lockdown until the animal was found back at its home and captured.

“The officer was able to break up the dogs. They fled, and the injured male was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries,” police said.

So they all stand around watching the pitbulls eat this guy until dead. That must have been brutal.

Nearly every single person I've ever seen on the streets with a pitbull, is a low life piece of s**t. No joke. Reason #3 why we bailed out of CA, was due the ever expanding population of low life that occupy the state.

IMO they use the dogs to intimidate and induce fear in people. This is what they get off on and the intended purpose of the dogs. If they had the means they would do exactly the same thing their dogs do. But this way they have limited liability.

Be like the cops who've seen the ugly results of Pitbulls. If one of them is off leash and charges you, open up on them as fast as possible, because if they latch on to your gun hand, you could die a very brutal death.

I have a friend has Texas heelere

When they fight he does that too

My rotts have always reacted to me when they fight and turned down the volume plus usually establish pecking order

My American bull dogs not so much

They can be a challenge

I can't imagine handling a kangol or one of those various Caucasus Shepherd type dogs when they are cranked up

Especially at 67 and RA

There is a video out there of a cop who allowed a pitt to get hold of his gun hand before he was able to unholster his gun. It was very ugly...The cop was extremely lucky his backup arrived and opened up on the pit.

I am still nervous around big dogs because of childhood incidents.

My friend's dog pushed me against a wall, barking in my face. Her mother kept saying "Never show your fear to a dog" Right!

Saw German Shepherd go mad when I was 4 years old. Dog was bigger than me.

Always take a stick with me when I walk in my area. So many folks do not follow the law - all dogs must be on a leash.
