In August, a day after Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic nomination for president, a conservative-against-conservative argument erupted on social media. Steve Hayes, the editor and CEO of The Dispatch, called out his fellow conservatives for “fluffing” the progressive Harris and “embracing” the “nutty” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “What a mess the modern conservative movement is,” he sighed.
The pile-on was swift.
Sarah Longwell, publisher of The Bulwark, was first. “Honestly, what are you talking about Steve?” she wrote. The problem with the conservative movement, she said, was the capitulation to Donald Trump, not the opposition against him. Hayes shot back: “It’s possible to oppose Trump without lionizing Kamala, right?” Longwell objected. “Watching your tedious rationalizations about why you’ll stand on the sidelines instead of taking a stand against the worst threat to American idea

Hara Kiri, please!
And lots of it.
Idiots from the Bulwark. Might have known.
Apparently Pierre Delecto’s replacement is a near clone.
Nothing but a bunch of self-important pipsqueaks chattering and nibbling at each others’ ankles while hoping to be relevant and monetize their yammering. How boring.

Trump has never been a National Review type conservative.
For example he was for gay marriage long before Barky and the Hildabeast were.
Sure he’s an economic conservative. That’s because it works and he has in effect said so.
Sarah Longwell needs to go get her CPUSA card.
Hey, you succinctly summed up the small world of "Never Trump" punditry. Well done!

If they prefer a bitterly anti-Christian Marxist over a populist conservative, they never were conservative; they just saw being a Republican as somehow more profitable at some moment.
For example he was for gay marriage long before Barky and the Hildabeast were.
Sure he’s an economic conservative. That’s because it works and he has in effect said so.
So Trump's tent is pretty wide.
The challenge for Trump's successor in 2024 is to hold his coalition together. The base of the Republican is socially conservative but the average American voter is socially liberal.
Trump's strategy was to redirect from the abortion issue and it worked. The Left wanted to make it all about abortion but they've failed.
Rinos aren’t Conservatives They need to take a dirt nap.
They gambled and lost. Time to pay the Piper.
Trump is a Federalist about abortion, that it should be up to the states to determine, after the initial leftist hysteria, voters focused on other issues such as inflation and Biden/Kamala ineptness.
A high bridge, or window, finger in a light-bulb socket, perhaps a pistol in the mouth, for the cowardly there are always barbituates.
What do they do now? Try to get their heads screwed on straight, because they aren’t conservatives.
They can bite a my pillow and take it strait up somewhere.
It is very hard for conservative Swamp Filth committed to the principles of monetizing view counts to realize that Drain The Swamp necessarily erases their livelihood and this is a great thing.
