A disgruntled Utah man smashed his car into the storefront of a dealership he had bought it from earlier that day after he was allegedly denied a refund when he discovered his new ride had mechanical issues.
Michael Lee Murray, 35, bought a used Subaru Outback from the Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne car dealership in Sandy, a city in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, for $4,000 on Monday morning, according to Fox 13 News.
However, Murray alleged that he was sold a “lemon” — a vehicle whose manufacturing issues jeopardize the driver’s safety — soon after he snagged the wheels.
Murray returned to the dealership and asked for a refund, but management told him the car was sold “as is” and could not be returned.

Angry Subaru driver crashes car through dealership window after claiming he was denied refund: ‘Hit a breaking point’ I saw that video. He is a childish brat, and my first thought is he needs a good beating for acting like a brat.
Hopefully this event will be so painful for him that it will discourage any future outbursts from this man-child.

I hope the dealership had a contract with the stipulations about the car needing work and being sold “as is”. I hope the contract was signed by both parties. If so....perp has some issues, personal and now legal..

I agree but what promises were made or implied.
Used car sales men have a reputation for a reason.

Wow, we can do that? :^) Whenever I start considering collecting the insurance money on this Hyundai, I think of the Robert Schimmel bit about the brand and start laughing. Can't post it of course.

However, Murray alleged that he was sold a “lemon” — a vehicle whose manufacturing issues jeopardize the driver’s safety — soon after he snagged the wheels Buyer beware.
All manufactures of automobiles have issues from time to time. Buying used, always do your research.
And when buying a used car it pays to have it checked by a trusted mechanic.
And if you have problems after buying get a lawyer if you were misled. In many states verbal contracts are enforceable. Don’t let your anger get the best of you.
