I love Ron and now he's an adviser to Elon Musk and DOGE.

We have truly come full circle.

That would be great because we’ve all heard about the money sent as humanitarian aid that NEVER gets beyond the corruptocrats that run the country.

Some recents events have me in 100% agreement. No more charity.

I was taught as a young officer that our foriegn policy was backup up by three things, political power, economic power, and military power. Military power being the last resort, the first two were supposed to be wielded to the best interests of the United States.

Today we do not wield political or economic power to our own best interests. If we can’t do that, then just cut it off.

I don’t think I would cut off all aid. But I would, with countries that hate us.

Don’t forget about the $36,000,000,000,000 in debt and the trillion bucks a year it takes to service it. This along with the commies and illegals is asking our country to burn down before the decade is out. You can’t inflate your way out of debt either.

Rand Paul is right.

Millions in kick backs to Congress critters, especially the Black Caucus..

I would make one exception.

Keep sending foreign aid to Israel.

I could see sending aid to a country that just had a natural disaster but endlessly sending money to foreigners should end eventually

Biden went too far. If he hadn’t been so “generous” with “aid” to facilitate the Biden Crime Family’s money laundering operation, little attention would be paid to this.

Not subtle at all. In-your-face theft of our tax money was extreme. People are pissed, and the pendulum has to swing far in the other direction.

That’s basically true, but it’s worse than that. I saw this first-hand in Afghanistan. I went as a volunteer but ended as a paid UN staff member, so I can share with authority.

I saw effective small NGOs not receiving aid, but large NGOs with high overhead getting millions. I had to work hard to keep my quality Afghan staff because USAID projects could pay them double, even though they were already done of the highest paid Afghans in Kabul.

You can search out the 2-tier pay scales of the UN and it’s many organizations. Local staff get a fifth of the international staff. This means the UN hires and trains some of the best workers in the country. After a while they see they can make much more as an international staff and leave the country to work elsewhere. So these international organizations rob the talent of a developing country and create a wealthy global class beholden to the UN. My very best and highest paid staff person took a job in Iraq. I was saddled with international staff from Bangladesh, Liberia, South Africa, and more.

USAID doesn’t do aid itself but contracts with these high-overhead established mega organizations. Their foreign offices oversee the projects, which is largely useless overhead.

I could go on…
