A web page listing the corporate leadership team behind Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), one of America's biggest health insurers, has disappeared from the company's website.
The disappearance of the page listing the provider's 25 highest-ranking employees was highlighted in a post shared to the r/antiwork subreddit on Reddit by the user u/wendysdrivethru.
The web page appeared to have vanished after the fatal shooting of CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Brian Thompson, in New York in what police described as a "premeditated, preplanned targeted attack."
Newsweek has reached out to Anthem BCBS via email for comment.

The sudden disappearance of the page sparked mass speculation on Reddit, with the post highlighting the change earning over 34,000 upvotes and generating 1,600 comments.
It comes at the end of a week in which Anthem BCBS abruptly reversed a recent decision to no longer reimburse anesthesia services for the complete duration of certain surgical procedures. Under the plans Anthem BCBS announced it would "no longer pay for anesthesia care if the surgery or procedure goes beyond an arbitrary time limit, regardless of how long the surgical procedure takes."
The decision was set to cover patients with plans in Connecticut, New York and Missouri and would have seen the insurer introduce a partial coverage mode based on "physician work time values" from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. These plans drew strong criticism from the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), with the head of the ASA branding it "appalling" and "egregious"

A lot of families must have really panicked. Good move given that copycats abound and this guy is going to get a lot of positive attention with the smile photo.

All of these big insurers were hung ho on Obamacare when it was all the rage then “deemed” passed at midnight on December 24th. They cheered! Now that our healthcare system is bearing the fruits of that cluster eff, people are getting angry. We told them this would happen but they wouldn’t listen and people still don’t seem to equate the problems of today with Obamacare. This. Is. Obamacare.
I do not condone a street hit on anyone but I understand the sentiment, if it’s an angry client that pulled the trigger.

It is funny what happens when a major industry captures the government regulators and essentially becomes part of the government and can use government force and penalties to rip of the American citizen.
I hope the government controlled corporate crowd realizes that retreating to gated communities and hiding will not isolate them from pissed off Americans.

Funny that they must have originally thought they were loved and adored when they shared their photos on their site.
I am stunned by the amount of personal information any large organizations post on the web these days.
It is just a matter of time before they irritate somebody...
These companies also pressed the vaccinations. They should have remained more neutral.
Good point on the vaxxes—if some family members were seriously injured or died from the vaxxes there could be some very angry folks out there....particularly since these companies pushed the “safe and effective” propaganda.
$600 a month for BCBS is what I pay and they don’t cover much. It’s pathetic and we’re now under Medicare so they may pay 20% if that and I’m covered 100% under the VA but they suck at everything. I kept the BCBS for the wife.
Insurance is a scam at best but you’re screwed if that one time you don’t have it.
Any medical insurance plan is just fine. Until needed.
Yes they did! Now that we have all of this information coming out about the fauxinnes and the adverse, long term affects people WORLDWIDE are experiencing, these people should not be able to walk down the street. Politicians included.
I remember during the pandemic how our media and our politicians were screaming about bodies piling up in the streets, morgues, funeral homes and cold storage units. Never once did I hear of a funeral director or medical examiner screaming for help. Nor did we see any video of bodies stacked up anywhere. They do it for wars all the time. They also do it when a boatload of illegals capsizes and those bodies wash up on the shore (faked of course). What we did see was hospital nurses flash dancing in the hallways reminding people to get their jabs while people were supposedly dying in those same hospitals. 🤔
I don’t condone murder by patient/family, if that was the motive for the hit.
Otoh, focusing healthcare decision makers more on the well-being of their policy holders and less on stock share price is a healthy thing.
True, but I can’t help but wonder what they know that they aren’t telling anyone.
They’re not that scared for no reason.
And don’t forget, they were incentivized to generate corpses too!
