President Erdoğan stated the West’s progress is built on blood, tears, massacres, genocide, and exploitation and that the chapter of the West’s dominance is coming to a close…

> Islam has a rather bloody history. And so does Christianity. <
When it comes to Christianity, that was long ago (religious wars, persecutions, etc.). Those days are gone.
But when it comes to Islam, the book is still open. The outrages are continuing to this very day. And they will continue to happen.
So it’s really not a fair comparison.
West’s progress is built on blood, tears, massacres, genocide, and exploitation but fails to mention that Islam’s progress is built on murder and slavery on epic scales, civilizational destruction, cultural destruction, information destruction, and historical destruction, generally impoverishing the entire human race.
I was at Incirlik. The absolute worst assignment in the Air Force.
If Turkiye enters Syria from the rear, would Greece help?
Is he going full Islam, or just flexing his dictator muscles?
—
Both, since absolute authority & dictator muscle flexing is built into Islam. Without either, Islam would collapse.
Projection like that, he could be a Democrat!
Islam has a rather bloody history. And so does Christianity.
—
Islam’s bloody history outweighs Christianity’s by many orders of magnitude.
Exactly. As long as we have that secret, remote kill switch installed in the NATO F-16’s, we’re good.
People forget the Popes who rode at the head of armies.
LOL!
The chapter of Ezekiel you reference ends with "I will" suggesting, like part of the book of Job, that this will be done until such time as "they shall know that I am God / Hashem" (depending on the translation). Given a "turning away" in so many lands, "until such time" seems to be most pertinent.
Turkic peoples are from Kazakhstan-Mongolia area, genocidal invaders and colonial occupiers of Anatolia. Send them back.
> I’d suggest the notion is less PR and more an observation. <
Good comment! The modern West is exhibiting many symptoms of the Roman Empire in its last decades. Corruption, debasement of currency, arrogance, etc.
But of course the Roman Empire was eternal. It could not collapse. Until it did.
Erdogan could come here legally, become a citizen and enter the democrat primary in time for the 2028 election. He already has all the democrat talking points down pat!
So much in the news these days is of said "corruption, debasement of currency, arrogance" and more. That historical collapse of old Rome should inform better than it does. Muhammad is now the most popular baby name in the UK, as an example of this. Our debasement of our own currency is surely another.
But I take heart. Germany, devastated by its own enormous stupidity twice in the 20th century, and now devastating its own economy through a "Green" hysteria and Merkel's foolish "wir schaffen es," all still allowed me to sit at Bach's grave in Thomaskirche many times in prior decades. The good remains, and the "bunker" bad is burned away. Seems the way of things, over time.
As Herb Stein famously opined, "that which cannot go on will stop." Personally I'd like to be a little distant from the center of that impact zone. I'm sure 'tis true for you.
Best wishes.
Just yesterday I saw a tourism ad for “Turkiye” that was trying to show how welcoming they are. Crazy…
hes declared malicious intent against his allies
KICK HIS ARSE OUT OF NATO

>> We deserve whatever judgement God visits upon us.
Thank GOD that His mercy triumphs over His judgment.
As you rightly point out, we have fallen short of being the Christian nation that our forefathers intended us to be (to GOD’s glory, not our own). Obama spoke officially during his first term that “we are not a Christian nation” — that was a dark day indeed.
There is nevertheless a praying remnant that is repenting of our national sin and apathy and seeking His Face and encouraging Americans to turn from their wicked ways, believing in faith that He will hear from heaven, forgive our national iniquity and heal our land. I am part of that praying remnant and I hope you are too.
I believe in faith that a Great Awakening is on the way!
People assume the pope(s) was/were followers of Christ. Like as in yeah, I’m sure Christ condoned all the bloodshed and torture carried out by the Roman church during the inquisition/s
Sheesh. Done “in the name of Christ” so that makes it “Christian”
IC what U did there. ROFL!
