Russia could end the war in Ukraine with a nuclear strike that turns the country into a "radiation zone", an ally of Vladimir Putin has chillingly warned.
Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeyev warned that the world is "on the brink of nuclear war".
Discussing the prospect of a Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine, he added: "There will be a radiation zone nobody will ever go into in our lifetime. And the war will be over."

He added: "We want a long-term peace — some sort of general agreement about the global order. Trump wants to go down in history, he'll be 80 soon, he's a grandfather.
"Putin's not 50 anymore either. It'll be the legacy they both leave us."

President Trump knows that China is the biggest long-term problem so he will need to neuter Russia, Iran and North Korea as soon as possible, so he will be able to focus on China for the rest of his term.
The same could happen to Russia.

Thanks for the question. Yes, I am. Moreover, all sides have changed their participation in nuclear related treaties. Sounds like MAD is really mad, after all. If and as NATO becomes an "official" participant in the war between non-NATO Ukraine and non-NATO Russia, there are a lot of bets that are off that proverbial table.
So in an extended reply to your question, tell please which non-news and non-opinion sites on the side of Russia, our US and/or any of the NATO nations which are regularly "rattling their nuclear sabers." You'll be hard pressed to find one.
But the media is filled with repeating and repeating "nuclear war threatened," because, first and foremost, it generates traffic, eyes, ad revenues, subscriptions, donations (even AP is now putting pop-ups requesting donations), so that's where the noise is. That's where the money is.
And if you favorite reporter or opinion writer ACTUALLY thought nuclear was going to break out tomorrow, they wouldn't be writing. They'd be finding a place far away from a target area, whether it was DC, or London, or Moscow, or Ramstein AFB, or Brussels, or....
Instead, we'll all tune in again for the next installment of....
