A Brooklyn straphanger was randomly shoved onto subway tracks by a woman in a gray trench coat Sunday morning, cops say.

The 43-year-old victim was standing on a southbound platform at the Kosciuszko Street station in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 9 a.m. when his unidentified assailant in a long coat suddenly pushed him onto the J train tracks, the NYPD and police sources told The Post.

I can’t wait for the news that someone tried this and got shot for their efforts. I know it will happen someday.

Thus why I sit down waiting for the L trains.

Thus why I will continue to congest the roads in my pickup truck.

Though recently I had a very pleasant experience enjoying public transportation on a bullet train from Busan to Seoul. It was nice to relax, play on my phone and take in the scenery outside, all the time wistfully thinking that it's a shame we can't enjoy this here.

“a woman in a gray trench coat”

That’s all the description they can provide? I guess it’s enough...

It goes back to the days when trains and buses had straps hanging down for standing commuters to hold on to.

I think some conveyances still have them in some areas.

I had similar thoughts when riding the trains around Copenhagen.

Basically, in NYC the memo is that you’ll be charged if you fight back (exhibit A Daniel Penny), but the attacker is labeled a hero (exhibit B Jordan Neely).

Amazing lack of description of the attacker except for
*wearing a gray trench coat*.

Don’t discount the evil effects of Climate Change. The once-in-a-millennium heat or cold (or whatever) makes people do crazy things.

I asked that kind of thing in the past. It was explained that one may be seated, or not even on the subway yet, and still be a “straphanger.”
