Video of cart-to-cart Costco confrontation sparks debate over naughty shopper behavior

He better watch out.

Footage of a heated confrontation between customers apparently taken inside a Costco emerged the day before Thanksgiving — sparking online debate about naughty shopper behavior as gift-buying season gets underway.

An aggravated man rammed a woman’s shopping cart with his own as he impatiently tried to push through a sea of shoppers in an aisle, according to a video a fellow customer posted on a Reddit Costco thread, which is not affiliated with the mega-chain store.

“One thing I would like to mention is the store shoppers at Krogers or WalMart doing shopping for people who are too lazy to do their own shopping.”

About 98% of my shopping is Walmart pick up. I sit in my recliner, order everything I want on an extremely easy to use app and know the exact price I will pay. I will spend about 5 minutes at Walmart getting my stuff. Then I come home and read comments from people calling me lazy and complaining about the process who probably spent an hour or more inside Walmart and I get a good laugh. No disrespect intended, it’s just reality.

Our Walmart picked November to re-jigger the entire store so that you can’t find ANYTHING. Everything has been relocated. I must hear “I can’t find anything here now”. A couple times I’ve “left in frustration”, as you said and when I said “AMAZON’, I made sure it was loud.

And they’re giving up product space to have displays of mannequins, etc. It ain’t Nordstrom, Honey; I don’t want a display. I want to buy stuff.

I know, I know, I know. I just can’t do it myself. There is no way I’m going to let some minimum wage flunky pick out my produce or meat. And if they are too lazy to look for something specific, they will substitute whatever is closest. No thanks. My money is worth more than that.

Reminds me of one time when I was shopping in Walmart and 2 women (probably in their 50s) were cruising side-by-side on the motorized shopping scooters.
Blocking isles and gossiping as they went. They would stop at an area, discussing which bread was better, taking up to 5 minutes at a time at each stop.
No concerns that they were blocking hundreds of others needing to get past them, or needed an item where they were parked, chatting away.

“There is no way I’m going to let some minimum wage flunky pick out my produce or meat.”

I totally agree. I don’t buy produce (vegetables suck) and buy my meat at Sam’s where I do go in and pick it out myself.

“And if they are too lazy to look for something specific, they will substitute whatever is closest.”

Don’t know about that. I’m pretty sure if it’s in stock you’ll get it, but if you don’t like the sub you can reject it. No a big deal.

But to each his own. Getting the Walmart prices without the Walmart hassle is a good deal to me.

Staring down the logjam, the man, who had a small dog with him, talked about people needing to get out before he went cart-to-cart with the woman,

I don't have a dog in this fight.

But these fine folk on both sides of the aisle, seem to think they've got
carte blanche privilege on Black Friday.

There’s a lot at play here, but the main issue is there are way too many people everywhere now.

The only thing that makes it worse than that, is when they do it in the freezer aisle, and prop the freezer door open with their body while they struggle to spell out the word “the” on the label...for (literally) ten minutes straight.

We had something come up this morning so when we were through, I tried to find a place where we could get breakfast. Had to drive around. All of the minorities and illegals in town were so happy about Trump winning, they were all eating out. Then, we needed a couple things at Walmart. Big mistake. You haven’t experienced a “Black Thursday” until you are competing with all the locals and this town’s allotment of the 20 MILLION BIDENSKYYYYYYYYYY/HarrizWalzee illegal aliens. The poor, broken down, “asylum seeking refugees” completely take over the electronics and toy departments. Very few had food items. The gringos buy all their meals for them so they don’t need to waste money on food. Watch out for two guys wearing “I’ve Been To.... tourist T-shirts carrying the big screen TVs out the doors. We got what we needed and hauled @$$.

After seeing the video, here I would ask him:

You know you’re in Nevada, right?

You do? Then you must know that 5 to 10% of Nevadans carry, don’t you?

Don’t you wonder if that lady you shoved around is one of them? I say “lady” because a lady probably wouldn’t shoot you, a woman, on the other hand...

I hate the scooters all over the place. I know some people truly need them but I feel some people just are lazy.

Oh no, the people of olden days starved to death for lack of fresh produce! Of course, I cook with fresh produce. You just have to know which lasts for many weeks and which needs to be eaten quickly. Squashes, onions, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, apples, citrus, pears, etc. can last past the previous shopping trip. If the bombs start falling, take note.

Wow - it’s been 13 years! I’m still in the suburbs of Seattle - looking at Tennessee maybe.

At our Costco it is the Indian and Asian families. Mom, dad, 4 kids and Grandma & Grandpa slowing strolling side by side through the isles looking at everything. Taking up 90% of the aisle.

Get to the sample table - forget about it!

One time I was trying to get by an elderly guy in the electric cart. He was jammed up behind a sample table waiting his turn for one. I waited patiently and then he noticed I just wanted to pass and said “Oh - excuse me, I’m sorry.” “Oh no worries, I can wait. And it isn’t your fault - it’s these dumb snack carts in the aisle.”

The sample lady glared and said something to me but I don’t recall what.

That was the best part of Covid. Costco with no sample carts!

That’s what they tell me, but hopefully we can show these criminals the door and make them take it. This is our house, not theirs. They are here to rob the joint.

The communists and their foot soldiers are going to make it very hard to show the illegals the door.

Yep. I went from loving those sample carts to hating them. Fortunately the Costco stores here in Lexington and Louisville are not all that crowded. Last time I went to the one in Tukwilla there was NO parking at all. And the whole parking lot was a solid traffic jam. Not worth it.

BTW, one nice thing here: Liquor is a LOT cheaper than in Seattle. A family sized (1.5 liter) bottle of the “good” Kirkland brand vodka is $19. The cheap one is $12. And the family sized bottle of makers mark is $44.

I long ago stopped doing the food samples. God has blessed me that I can afford to buy my food.
