Pelosi’s Jan. 6 narrative collapsing, Democrats deaf to voters and other commentary

Iconoclast: Pelosi’s Jan. 6 Narrative Collapsing

Jan. 6 was not “an insurrection,” but “a protest that became a riot when a woefully insufficient security plan collapsed,” argues Jonathan Turley at The Hill.

Nancy Pelosi’s “House Select Committee to investigate Jan. 6” pushed the narrative that it “ was an attempt to overthrow our democracy by Trump and his supporters,” but “fostered false accounts” and dismissed evidence that “confirmed that Trump did, in fact, offer the deployment of the National Guard in anticipation of the protest.”

Now a new report “shows that it was the Defense Department that delayed the eventual deployment of National Guard in the critical hours of the riot.”

“None of this means that Trump” is “without fault in this matter,” but “these reports only further highlight what we still do not know about that day.”

From the right: Democrats Deaf to Voters

“The first step to any recovery is admitting you have a problem,” argues The Wall Street Journal’s Allysia Finley. Yet Democrats “won’t admit that their policies are the cause.”

From his “bubble,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom “ordered a special legislative session to ’Trump-proof’ California’s progressive policies, such as its electric-vehicles mandate.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul “revived a $9 tax on commuters driving into lower Manhattan” days after Trump’s win.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson “is seeking to raise taxes on homeowners” to “pay the city’s soaring pension bills.”

Those “high taxes are driving off businesses and residents.” Democrats may “recognize their political problem but their solution is to pour another shot.”

Culture critic: Dems’ Disconnect on Trans Debate

“In a parallel universe,” snarks The Free Press’ Peter Savodnik, “progressives would be rallying around” Rep. Seth Moulton for expressing fear that trans athletes could injure his daughters in sports.

Gavin Newsom “ordered a special legislative session to ’Trump-proof’ California’s progressive policies, such as its electric-vehicles mandate.”

Replacing fed money with state money isn't Trump proofing anything. Trump just passed California's social engineering dreams to the Californians to pay for.

Parking lot attendants and janitors get to pay a subsidy to someone's brand new Rivian.

Unfortunately much of the footage proving it was not a violent insurrection was deleted by those in government pushing the idea that it was.

The real perpetrators need to arrested, tried and sentenced.
It’s outright criminal what’s going on with the J6 prisoners.
This was posted by “Seek and Find” on another thread:

“There are now roughly 800 Americans languishing in terrible conditions in jails for their actions on J6. The 6th Amendment states that, “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial…by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed…”

It’s been four years. That’s not speedy. The 5th Amendment assures us that “no person shall be … deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”. Are these citizens receiving due process?”

The entire fraudulent Jan.6th committee should be on trial for conspiracy & treason, then hanged.

They forgot to add
‘and because Ray Epps and government agents planted in the crowd were urging a violent intrusion into the US Capitol”.

But Joy Reid just said today Trump was a felon who got an insurrection going to kill police in DC at the Capitol.

“You got your heart’s desire. The President you dreamed of and worshipped instead of Jesus. And this time you didn’t even have to storm the Capitol, smash windows or threaten to kill police officers.”

Was she lying? /SARC

Again, may Ashli Babbitt rest in peace and her murderer be brought to justice.

Put this one up there with all the government lies that are "facts" -- until they're not!

Here's just a few.....

-JFK assassination
-Gulf of Tonkin
-WMD in Iraq
-Russian collusion
-Ladies peed on Trump's Moscow bed
-Y2K
-COVID
-Lois Learner, IRS & Tea Party
-FBI & government attack on Trump
-Ukraine
-that's the short list

We go around the world bringing down governments by covert invasions and direct military actions and call ourselves "special."

It's bad enough that we bully the rest of the world, but the pattern is clear -- we bully our own just as badly.

Actually, it became a riot when the woefully inadequate security forces shot non-lethal weapons into a crowd of peaceful demonstrators. Rubber bullets and smoke bombs might cause a person in a tightly packed crowd to get angry.

More nonsense: Y2K was a real potential problem, NOT a lie.

The problem was that early computers had limited space to store data, so most everybody stored only the last two digits of a year: e.g., “68” meant 1968, etc.

Thus programmers had to put in several years of work (before 1 Jan 2000) to update lots of software to deal with these 2-digit years suddenly “wrapping around” in the year 2000. In other words, “00” had to mean 2000, one year AFTER “99” (1999), rather than 99 years before, which could have caused major problems (especially in financial settings).

In some cases, extra code was added reinterpret the two digits so that (for example) 50-99 means 1950-1999, while 00-49 means 2000-2049.

The better solution, obviously, is to use 4 digits for the year. But this involves copying and “widening” *large* preexisting databases, and also modifying lots of code to handle the 4 digit numbers.

Either of these approaches had to be done extremely carefully, with lots and lots and lots of checking, because screwing up the code or destroying a database could put a company out of business (or sink ships or crash planes or blow up something).

P.S. The MSM probably hyped the issue (as usual) to gain audience in late 1999, but there were no lockdowns (COVID), casualties (Gulf of Tonkin), or political skulduggery.

So did Art Bell. He went all in that Y2K would be massive upheaval.

Right. Nothing happened because we all spent years rewriting all the code and dropping and replacing programs that wouldn’t work.

Them two statements of your's are somewhat contradictory and frankly make my point that is.....

Y2K had an element of truth, so did COVID, and the Gulf of Tonkin and so many others that were hyped and promoted to the point of hysteria to push the masses to believe a certain point of view or take some specific action they might not otherwise take. Somebody created and pushed that agenda for gain.

PROPAGANDA:

..information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

Why do we continue to see the hype and lies -- because they work, at least for a while, on the gullible and naive masses.
