The 2020 Presidential election shared a problem with the 1998 MLB home run race: the winning candidate did too well. In 1998, steroid juicer Mark McGwire broke Roger Maris’s home run record by nine home runs or roughly 15 percent.
In 2020, Joe Biden’s 81 million votes broke Barack Obama’s 2008 record 69 million votes by 12 million votes or roughly 17 percent. Obama’s 2008 numbers were anomalous. Hillary Clinton’s 2016 numbers were closer to the norm, and Biden got nearly 25 percent more votes than she did, a cool 16 million additional votes when finally counted.
Campaigning from his basement, this cognitively-challenged, charisma-free codger did much too well in 2020, and now even the Left is noticing. With virtually all the 2024 presidential election votes counted, Kamala Harris’s vote total remains roughly seven million votes shy of Biden’s ballot box-busting performance in 2020.
In trying to explain the differential, Michael Bender of the New York Times hinted at the truth. Wrote Bender, “[S]ome backsliding could be expected after the record turnout in 2020, which was aided by pandemic rule changes that increased mail voting.” You think?
As should be expected, Bender chose not to pursue this line of thinking to its natural end. If he had, he might have asked why only the Democrats seemed to have been aided in 2020 “by pandemic rule changes.” President-elect Donald Trump did not “backslide” in 2024. He upped his 2020 vote total by about two million.
In 2024, with life back to something like normal, Harris was denied the performance-enhancing juice that propelled Biden in 2020. That juice was formidable. The convenient arrival of COVID gave the Democrats a rationale for dismantling the safeguards against voter fraud in state after state.

I’m glad it worked out. Trump having to put up with Covid, inflation and other crap would have been terrible for him. Sometimes you have to go through hell to get to paradise. Trump is in a great position to have America thrive.

I agree somewhat - it is not productive to dwell on the race of 2020. It is however very important that we learn from the methods used to generate somewhere between 7mm and 13mm fraudulent votes and how they came to be counted. New laws that visit extremely painful consequences upon those caught cheating. No $50 fines and a slap on the wrist. Fines should financially ruin the cheaters.
Mail-in balloting should be declared unacceptable by FedGov with two notable exceptions. Vote counting systems like RCV should also be declared unacceptable. FedGov cannot tell the individual states how to conduct their elections but they can say that any state using these vote systems will face a substantial drop in FedGov funding.
I fully agree. This country can handle the truth. In fact, we desperately need it. We have many changes we need to make to get back to having considering our electoral process. To get this done, every ‘fence sitter’ needs to fully understand how corrupt things have been.

After Zerobama lost Missouri in 2008 by less than 4,000 "votes", the Democrat fraudsters totally lost interest in trying to win Missouri in 2012, at least at the presidential level.

Do We Still Have to Pretend the 2020 Election Was ‘Free and Fair’?

So... one of the things that I’ve wondered about were the so-called ‘bellwether counties’.... 19 counties that consistently voted with the President from from 1980 on. In 2020, 18 out of 19 of these counties voted for Trump but supposedly, Brib’em won. So how did these same 19 counties do in 2024?
Well, it appears that 18 of 19 of them have reverted back to their former status as ‘bellwether indicators’ of how the election went. Check out this link.... the only one of the 19 that didn’t go Trump’s way in 2024 was Clallam County, in Washington.
I’d suggest that either 2020 was not ‘free and fair’ or these 19 counties represent the greatest statistical outlier in the history of probability becoming a branch of mathematics....
