Misjudging the Bear: Is the West Underestimating Russia’s Nuclear Threat?
New American Prophet ^ | November 24, 2024 | Prophecy News Watch

When it comes to the world of geopolitics, there is always far more going on than meets the eye. The long-range missiles that Ukraine is now firing deep into Russian territory are not going to change the course of the war. But the Russian response to those long-range missiles might. Hopefully the Russians will show restraint, because they may not even realize that they are being led into a trap.

Just two days after Joe Biden gave the green light, Ukraine fired six ATACMS missiles deep into Russian territory on Tuesday…

Ukraine hit a Russian weapons arsenal with US-made ATACMS missiles that it fired across the border for the first time, according to two US officials, in a major escalation on the 1,000th day of war.

Russia isn’t bluffing. The West started Cold War 2 as soon as Cold War 1 was over. The West has been trying to win the second one ever since.

Just like the Sodomites who wouldn’t stop trying to beat down Lot’s door, the Western Sodomite elite are pushing at Russia’s door. Would you believe America’s most beloved Pastor (David Wilkerson) said God showed him in 1974 this exact scenario would happen to the US in the future? He said it would be the end of the US

Why would they kid about this?

They’ve hardened their people since 1950 towards this and they would do it if they had nothing to lose.

Likely, they would recover from a nuclear war faster than we would.

You whole post is BS. Russia never came to terms that it lost the Cold War. Its bitter. It didn’t hesitate to take western welfare, like supporting its space program and allowing it to join ISS. All the time just waiting to let the bully reemerge.

It is a mistake to underestimate the Russians willingness to use nuclear weapons.

Since the end of the Cold War, Russia has known that it does not have the resources and will not be able to compete with the West in stealth fighters, tanks aircraft carriers.

And Russia also is very concerned with American missile defense systems progress.

So the Russians have concentrated on developing very small “micro yield” battlefield tactical nuclear weapons and hyper sonic missiles, stealth cruise missiles and medium range MIRV theater tactical ballistic missiles for delivery systems combined with a new generation of strategic ballistic missiles with MIRV warheads designed to defeat US missile defense systems using a doctrine they call “Sub Critical Threshold” battlefield nuclear warfare

Their doctrine is to use the micro battlefield nukes in isolated regional conflicts exactly like the one we are seeing in Ukraine to offset the NATO advantage in conventional conventional weapon systems while using their advanced strategic nuclear missile systems to hold Western population centers and military targets hostage to prevent a nuclear response against Russian forces and Russian civilian population centers.

Under this doctrine, the “micro nukes” are used to destroy troop concentrations and high value targets like the airfields housing stealth fighters, command centers and missile sites with hard to defeat hypersonic missiles, stealth cruise missiles and the hard to intercept MIRV battlefield ballistic missiles.

We have seen the Russians successfully demonstrate the hypersonic and most recently in the last few days, the new class of MIRV battlefield ballistic missile using kinetic warheads instead of micro nuke warheads. This includes the destruction of US supplied Patriot Missile system with one of the Russian weapons systems that the Patriot system was designed to defeat

Russia is obviously telegraphing their capability and willingness to use these weapons effectively if NATO continues to escalate the conflict in Ukraine.

This is the mean old guy in the bar strategy.

In this scenario, an aging old bad ass gets threatened in bar by a group of tough young guys who are emboldened by the fact they the old guy is outnumbered by a group of strong young guys any one of which can kick his ass.

So instead of getting into the fist fight the young guys want, the old guy goes directly to his Glock to defend himself and shoots several of the young guys .

Paradoxically , the fact that NATO has weakened Russian military capabilities with the proxy war in Ukraine makes the Russians more dangerous, not less dangerous because the weaker they are, the more likely they are to use their sub threshold nuclear capability.

Not because they want to , but because they have to since it's all they got.

If anyone cares to take a look at Russia's actions in the last few months ,it's kind of sobering because it looks for all the world like Russia is preparing the battlefield for this type of response as Biden and NATO continue to escalate the conflict in Ukraine.

Lol. ISS was built around Russian technology to start with.
Regarding Cold War, the problem was that the West didn’t accept Russian surrender as kept pushing. It couldn’t continue forever.

They were bitter, but they were bitter for reasons. The link explains those reasons. And those reasons continued through the first two decades of this century because of the U.S.’s involvement in Ukraine.

Again BS. The west compromised to let Russia join ISS at great expense in redesign.

Sure. Never mind russias invading Georgia, and their support for rogue regimes in Iran, Syria, etc over that same time.

Never said Russia was an angel. They look out for their national security as they see it. The West ignores that at great risk.

The West never built a decent space station before ISS. And should I ask how the Americans flew to space once that lemon SS was retired?

The soviets had a space station. ISS would have been its own thing until we reached out and asked Russia to be a partner. Now our ‘partner’ extorts us regarding ISS anytime the get a hair up their butt.

“ the West” is who….exactly?
The men and women “ former security and military officials” who signed letters to the NYT calling Trump the greatest world threat to “ democracy”? Many past Cabinet officers, Agency heads or key policy advisors?

The ones who swore the Biden laptop was disinformation?

The ones who assigned federal air marshals on Tulsi Gabbard’s travels because she was a threat to security….and who continue to stoke conspiracy theories that Tulsi ( and Trump and anyone else that challenges their narrative) are “Russian agents”?

The toad clan of Nuland and Kagan with their “Institute of war studies” ISW and 10,000 paid monkeys including former 4-stars, churning out analysis driving US policy?

The “ Atlantic Council” ?

The nattering nabobs calling themselves UK intel and security experts, publishing their daily “ intel” in the UK tabloid press? The country with an army that couldn’t fill a large soccer stadium and a navy that hired its head of strategic subs from LinkedN?

Is this “ the West”?
